Exactly! Quit with the games!
I actually almost made a sale on my 350z the other day with the comfort of knowing that this car would be out soon… but now I’m thinking I’ll hold on to it in case the disappointment continues longer than it already has.

Nissan recently spent $300 million totally changing the production process at Tochigi (way more robots), where the Z is made, and that's probably why it's going to be a slow drip for deliveries for awhile, along with the chip shortage, which isn't going away any time soon either. Fit and finish should be better than before. They say they will be able to get the drivetrain installed to a fraction of a millimeter accuracy. The paint will be checked over by robots, etc.

That doesn’t make sense, they upgraded to a more automated process…it should be quicker, not slower, and they would have known about the change when they revealed it ….there’s no excuse for the lack of pricing or dealers delivery dates

funny how several of us couldn't wait on nissan because of...

1. lack of firm pricing
2. no more spec info
3. no dealer delivery dates
4. concerns about adm
5. availability vs demand
6. no test-drive reviews
7. not being able to pre-order (usa)

all this added up to me and others here buying another vehicles. the money saved up waiting years for the 'mkv' was gonna go to the Z.

just got tired of the wait and uncertainty so i spent part of that money on my trd gt86...and glad i did.

had some left to go towards the Z, but again im in the same situation as i listed above. and guess what? i may be taking the rest of my Z money and buying another toyota product...

The most frustrating part, is as I have said on the Aussie thread.
they continue to advertise new models coming out this year (on Australia’s Facebook feed at any rate) First it was the Quashi, then the Z, now the new Pathfinder…all promised for this year, all taking reservations, none have a price or at dealer date, even for the Quashi that was due “Early 2022”

I think when they said pricing will be announced "Spring 2022" they probably meant March/April since February is technically still Winter....yes I am giving Nissan the benefit of the doubt only to console myself on their lack of info. Plus when FD starts back up in April, we'll see what Chris Forsberg has reworked on the platform..

They didn’t say pricing would be available in Srpring they said the car would…and that still doesn’t explain where the pricing and date for delivery for the Quashi is in Australia that was supposed to arrive EARLY 2022, if we don’t have any information on that yet, what hope is there for the Z that’s to come after

Yea unfortunately Spring is from March - June (per google), so technically the supposed May release dates that some dealerships have been telling prospective customers, kinda does fall in line with what they said...plus its just their way of keeping their a$$ safe from committing to a specific month...:/

I have to wonder, if the people on a Z enthusiast forum are getting tired of being drip fed news, then what good is all the media buzz doing for Nissan? They have to realise that they need to get on with it and sell us the car, or people are going move on to more available options.

I agree 100% Nissan is killing any hype they made with these events and their commercial. However the other side of it is that I feel this forum is acting somewhat as an echo chamber so people’s agitation and frustration are emphasized due to multiple people having similar feelings, and then not having a reprieve from them. Lack of information at this point is inexcusable, especially when looking at how the wrx and the twins releases are progressing.
