I'm thinking of building my own dual Radium catch can kit.

  • 1- Catch Can Kit, Dual Universal, Fluid Lock
  • 2-10AN ORB to Barb for 3/8in
  • 2-10AN ORB to Barb for 5/8in
  • 1- 3/8" PCV/Fuel Hose, 6AN
  • 1- 5/8" PCV/Fuel Hose, 10AN

And maybe install it in the same spot where the Mishimoto one go.

Or just install Methanol injection kit and hit two birds with one stone.

Good luck. There’s barely enough space for one.
Also, whether it’s one or two Radium cans, youā€˜re going to have some pretty sharp bends needed for the hoses. Mishimoto supplies pre-bent hoses to account for this. You may need angled or angled/swivel fittings coming from the cans to avoid the lines pinching closed when they get warm.

Meth would definitely take care of the issue. But. You would have to be tuned for it from what I understand as it changes AFR.

I'll try to post pics this afternoon of the Mishimoto fitment. Not sure if it's a NISMO thing, or a me thing, but it's odd that mine hits that hose a good bit and others' don't.

Looks like I'll have clearance shifting the holes in the bracket about 1/2". Problem is that moves the nuts away from the clearance holes to tighten them. I like @5amp5on way of loosening the two bracket nuts to pull the bracket/can up to empty, so I prefer not to make that part too difficult. I've also got a 3/32" piece of aluminum I'm going to cut to fit behind the bracket to push the whole thing toward the engine. Pretty sure about 3/8" to the left and about 1/8" in should fully clear that coolant hose.
I hope.

Got the can in. (Pic 1) Took a little of all three solutions. Spaced it further away from the support bar thing. Slotted the holes and moved it left about 1/2ā€. And bent the bracket up just a tad. Can’t tell in the pic, but there’s a slice of daylight between them in the 2nd pic.

I don’t think it’s a me thing or a NISMO thing. I think it depends on how much hose is above that clamp (circled in the 3rd pic). If there’s more above it pushes the extra hose toward the engine.

Happy with it. Now on to the hard part.

NISMO tuned AT……CHECK!
Recaro Seats……CHECK!
97.8% of aftermarket parts won’t fit……CHECK!

It fits now. Well, the can and bracket do. If there’s something weird with the PCV piping I’m throwing in the towel, and there will be a Z1 NISMO undertray and a full set of 10mm spacers and extended studs (purchased 12 hours ago) up for grabs.

If anyone’s made it this far, regarding the Z1 undershroud, I did ask Z1 why they spec drilling out and installing rivnuts and their hardware for the support bracket rather than reusing the OEM hardware. They said their stuff ā€˜holds up better and lasts longer than the stock hardware.’ Not sure if that step is a Z thing or another NISMO-only wrinkle.

? Dont give up.

I ordered the wrong set of extended studs. Total length is 70mm. I only looked at the thread length thinking of 60mm and thought those are it. To find out, the total length needed to be 60mm. Other than not fitting in the rears without trimming the studs or removing the rear hub, the lugnuts bottom out on both my 15mm and 12mm spacers ?
I now have to buy the correct studs all around. And have 20 extended studs that I cant return

I figured the rivnuts was to replace the 3 plastic fasteners in the middle of the undershroud. Cheap flimsy plastic fasteners supporting metal = bad

I dont have an Z1 undershroud. As much as I want the black one, I cant swallow that pill of a price tag they have them listed at

I just got 2 catch cans, fittings and hoses for about $120 from AliExpress. These looks like a copy of the Radium ones and they are good quality. Will stuff them with copper mesh to increase their efficiency. Still waiting for the 3/8in fittings.

The hoses look really good and they offer them in different colors too.

These are small and should fit nicely anywhere.
