it just means vary RPMS . just talking about if you are on the interstate for hours and your Z is just sitting at the same RPM for a long time thats all
I drove 350 miles today. Have to use Cruise control as there are a number of tailgaters, and sneaky highway patrol along the way. But I try to raise, and lower the speed by 10 mph. We do what we can, and hope that the breaki-in goes well! Although I do do a bit of country driving that changes speed a lot. Can’t beat ourselves up over it! I say! ?Here's the part of the break-in procedure that I hate.
What the hell does that mean? Is "constant" +/- 0 mph, +/- 5mph, 20, 50, 100? What's a "long period"? A minute, 10 minutes, an hour, a day? Don't even touch the cruise control!
Now have 900 miles on it so far. Will drive more tomorrow.I drove 350 miles today. Have to use Cruise control as there are a number of tailgaters, and sneaky highway patrol along the way. link pleaseAlso replaced the cabin lights with LED’s from Panda Motorworks. Less than $20.00 makes a big difference!
I am so jealous of those roads!Break-in run, varying speeds and gears, now appx at 350 mi.

Once you get the car, you'll be looking for any excuse to drive it. That's what happened to me. I'm sure you can find a route that will become the "long way" to work.Just put down the deposit for a Z Performance today and already got nervous lol. I know it is best not to do short trips during break-in periods. But my drive to work is very short (5mins-ish). I do go on 1hr+ drive on the mountain roads near my place every week, and I will definitely continue to do that once I get the car to work the engine through varying loads (while keeping the rpm below 4k). Aside from that, is there any other suggestion to properly break-in the car?
Short drives in the winter isn't healthy for DI engines. Gotta allow the engine to warm up to at least 180° Fahrenheit. Also, the fuel mixture in the engine oil increases during colder months due to ecu instructing for spraying more gas at ignition for starting the motor.Just put down the deposit for a Z Performance today and already got nervous lol.
