Typically want to maintain RPMs between 2k - 4k (most important when on the highway/interstate to not just cruise the RPMs), for the first 1000-1500 mi.
To each their own on the milegae for break-in.

I personally will be going for 1500kms (up here in Canada)

Thereafter, next 100-200mi should be "slow pulls"
Meaning it's okay to go over the 4k, but dont hammer down and reach that redline right away. Want to build up that 4k - 7k RPM within the 100-200mi.

Hope this helps bud!

Congrats on your Z!!

Lol I really wanted the Serian Blue, but take what you get as there aren’t many out there 🤣
I know what you mean!
can't wait to even see another color in-person.

How you liking to the ride?
Been some time since my post there.

Loving the Z. I loved my 370Z, but this car has so many more cool features. I love that I have side warning. Lol tiny windows. Have over 500 miles on it now. Going to take a drive this Sunday as it should be nice. I used Adams Polishing Ceramic products to protect the car. A lot of effort, and money, but well worth it as nothing sticks to the car now. How about you? Getting some miles on it? 😊

Wow. That looks awesome. Gunmetal is my second favorite. I hope you don't mind. I used Pixel Magic Eraser to remove the power pole.

It's amazing
Love how the tech is there but not beeping in your face

Love the interior cabin lights for the blind spot!

I got over 2k miles on mine!!!
Loving it, just installed a cat-back exhaust on her this week and "breaking-in" the exhaust

I did a full PPF and ceramic coating on her for protection
Worth the money!
She's a looker at every moment of the day!!!

Also replaced the cabin lights with LED’s from Panda Motorworks. Less than $20.00 makes a big difference!

I just picked up my Z the other night and was wondering what, if any, is the break-in period before I can really start to drive the car a little harder. Don’t mind the bow in the hood….lol
Thanks,
Chris

The owner's manual says keep it below 4k rpm for the first 1200 miles. I'm going to try to stick to that. The car is still pretty fun even if you don't exceed 4k rpm.

im trying to do the same but ive noticed one of the short comings of my auto by doing so. in the first 1-2 or 2-3 shift in manual mode there is a noticeable delay at times like its confused. so lets say im in 2nd at 3K rpm on throttle and I hit the paddle ...ive noticed it will sometimes rev all the way to 5K then shift to 3rd. the higher gears seem ok but the torquey low gears it hesitates. its definitely not anything like a DCT im used to. so yeah im not trying to be super strict on the 4K but when I shift within 1K and smack the paddle it will over rev past that

Here's the part of the break-in procedure that I hate.
Avoid driving for long periods at constant speed, either fast or slow.
What the hell does that mean? Is "constant" +/- 0 mph, +/- 5mph, 20, 50, 100? What's a "long period"? A minute, 10 minutes, an hour, a day? Don't even touch the cruise control!
