Go get an ND again, keep the Z. They’re very different cars. I’ve owned almost all versions of Miatas, NA thru NC3, can’t beat the lightness, controls steering and handling. The Z’s weight feels more like an E92 M3 pushed around. They don’t serve the same purpose.I missed my ND2 after buying my Z
Not an ND, but I used to daily a 19' 86 TRD alongside my Z. I was in the same boat—couldn’t keep both once winter started creeping in. Honestly, the 86 was more fun. But comparing it to the Z isn’t really fair—they’re built for different things. The Z has more power and presence, while the 86 felt engaging at any speed. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other—it really depends on what kind of driving experience you’re after. Personally, after five years with the 86, I wanted something different—but I still think about that car all the time. Once I get a bigger house, I will buy another 86 or a Miata. Can someone convince me the new Z is a better car than the Miata ND2 LOL!! If I were to buy the Z, it would be another red in manual, sport trim. I just need to show up and test drive it. Then sign the paper work.
I am on my second Miata ND1 for 5 years, now ND2 3.5 years. Currently the Miata is on coilovers with Titan 7 rims. It handles perfectly. Have owned multiple S2000 AP2s so I know what a go cart is. I can't keep both cars.

Bought an NB to learn stick. Thought wrenching on it myself would make it more affordable, but as of now an ND would have been cheaper.Go get an ND again, keep the Z.

Nothing a pair of swaybars and some spacers wouldn't fix... if you get the performance trim."The other trims are floaty/GT car. "
I had to get back to my NC3, really missing it, bought it back from the owner I sold to last April. Miatas and Zs are in different classes and driving dynamics. Once owned a Miata, bug has bit!! LOLSold my ND2 for a Z. Mazda makes a great sports car, but I think the Z makes a better daily driver? It's more comfortable, quieter, and much more powerful. I have a feeling I will miss it a little more in the spring when the weather warms up and I want to put the top down going to and leaving work, but I can get that after work and on the weekends with my XK120.

Another thing worth mentioning is that you are absolutely crushing us with MPGs!I had to get back to my NC3, really missing it, bought it back from the owner I sold to last April. Miatas and Zs are in different classes and driving dynamics. Once owned a Miata, bug has bit!! LOL
Sure open top but everything else, driving, handling, reasonable parts and maint, lightness, I'm always drawn back to it. Hope you get back into another MX as an extra driver.

“When asked to choose between the two,How could anyone settle for just one sports car?![]()
Me too. Thinking I should have bought used. My friend sent me a couple listings for Performing trims, new, $47kOnly regret is that I feel like I should of gotten something dirt cheap. That way if I ram it into a wall, I don't feel as bad. That and suspension is a bit soft.
Aside from those two points, it's been nice.
I’m glad I didn’t buy used. I like knowing I’m the only owner. Also, I don’t plan on ever selling though soMe too. Thinking I should have bought used. My friend sent me a couple listings for Performing trims, new, $47k
