Hey guys I’m hopping someone can help me out here I just got the add w1 catch can for my z but the instructions aren’t actually instructions so I’m hopping that someone who has installed it can help me. I have the one that handles ccv and pcv in one can I think either way it has 3 hoses one goes to the drivers side and the other to the passenger side but that’s all I know as far as where they need to end up. I know how to do the drivers side for the most part but the 3rd hose is what’s causing me to be confused.

This doesn't answer your question, but in reading through a catch can thread this morning, it's interesting this w1 3.3 version connects to both driver & passenger:

Most of the catch can setups for us are only catching the PCV line. Connected to the PCV valve which is on the driver side valve cover and then is connected directly to the intake manifold. This only works during a vacuum state (meaning it does not work during boost as the PCV is a one way check valve setup) When the manifold sees boost, the PCV valve is closed otherwise you would be adding boost pressure to the crank case. This would be bad. The passenger side line is connected to the passenger side valve cover and then goes into the intake tubing PRE turbo.

Hopefully you can use an install video from another manufacturer like Mishimoto, and figure out the passenger side connection. I can dig in the service manual to see if there are diagrams, or maybe someone can share on passenger side..

So to quote ADDw1 this 3.3v works under load and no load which is nice

I have a question as well. So if I get a catch can from Z1 it will only have the driver side line catching blow by? Would you recommend the Mishimoto over it?Thx

I went with the Mishimoto over Z1 as I like the mounting location, appears to have decent access to unscrew for draining. A ton of discussion on not having one, single vs. dual side; but for the money I'll give the Mishimoto a go.

I'm on pins & needles over here waiting on @Tranzor Z 's grand words of wisdom regarding catch-cans...

No one has done the 3.3 on the RZ34. Its either the driver side, or you buy a 2nd can for the passenger side. I seen 1 person so far do the passenger side with a ADD W1 can. He does not have a step by step instruction. He has the Z1 for the driver side.

The only thing I can say is that clearly someone has done it before hence the photo. So more or less I’m just trying to figure out where the line to the passenger side connects to.

Based on this three hose design, and having already installed and understand the driver side 2 hose setup, I may be able to shine some light

EDIT AFTER THINKING FOR A BIT

YOU MIGHT be able to run from PCV to pre separation, and passenger valve cover to pre separation and then the post separation line to the passenger side pre turbo and plug the intake manifold. This would be the only safe way to do it.
Do not connect the post separation line to the intake manifold because you would end up adding boost to the setup and your crank case.
