My car build date is 8/'23. Sticker is a '24 model yr. Didnt know they had manufactured it that early for '24 release.
Dealer received in early Jan '24 and I purchased it in Feb.

my 2024 NISMO is July 23 and its 577th 2024 Z built. I think model year change over is usually June maybe even mid Mayish

if you go back and look at some of the first 2023 Zs that went on sale late summer 2022 some had early spring build dates

Canada Sold 58 Zs Q1 2024. Canada also had only 161 reported sales in 2023

Wonder how many of those are on this forum.

Just looked at the Supra sales report for comparison. Supra barely edges out the Z with 1495 sold so far in 2024 to the Zs 1457

This is a disaster for any future of this car.

Now that the manufacturing woes are behind Nissan they really should do a relaunch of the Z to get hype back around it.

In addition to more marketing they could:
- Introduce a Sport trim (Sport Track?) that comes with most of the NISMO USA bolt ons pre-installed while keeping the price in the mid 40s.
- Introduce a Manual Nismo trim.
- Coordinate with dealerships to be trained to install the AMS Alpha 5 package.

I think the pieces are there for the Z to be a big hit but Nissan isn’t taking advantage.

I just feel it was by far the worst new model launch ever. Again, I'm waiting over 3 years and I wanted a '23 and I'm getting a '24. Manufacturing woes aside they built nothing. The dealerhips could of used the traffic also - then if it was successful offering differnt varients would have been a no brainer.

it does yes. not every VIN makes it to a customer but they are all sequenced in line like that so yours is 4783 just like mine is 0577 built

it was much easier to track VINs last year but with more than double its pretty hard to know the highest VIN range but my estimation is 4900's because I searched nissans inventory nationwide of new incoming Zs and found one in the high 4800's so its a guess based off that

all 3 models have different top speeds 136 for sport 155 for performance and 173 NISMO


the heritage edition Zs are are still incoming so if they were all recently built they could exceed 5000 on the VIN

So those top speeds are electronically limited - I would imagine they can be removed with a tune - at least I hope. I could only hope the car is still pulling at 155 given the weight - I guess we'll see

It think they have to be limited because for example there is no power difference between sport and performance its the stability with no spoiler and under spoiler that is the reason for the reduced speed. and the NISMO probably isnt 20 more mph just based on the power bump
