BeShizz,
did you just apply the wrap and cut edges with a razor? I looked at how they were attached and it looked like a "bit" of work!!!
thanks
Yeah, it was just wrapped around edges and cut with a small blade, didn't take off the katanas to wrap them. Would be easier and have a less of a need to be perfect around edges if you take off katanas because you can just wrap it and go further underneath and not worry about the edges when you put them back on.

Having trouble getting the fill plug off. Do you have a limited slip? How'd you fit a wrench around the fill port
I have a Performance w/LSD. If you're trying to use a wrench, you're on the wrong bolt. It's a 10mm hex on the driver's side. You'll need a 3/8" ratchet, extension, and 10mm hex bit (same as the drain).

Oh, drivers side. I thought it was on the rear. There are no diff fluid change videos for the RZ34 on YT, and the 370z diff was different enough to throw me off.

edit: Do you have torque specs for the drain/fill port?

I don't, I always just gently snug the plugs in there (1/4" ratchet is good for this).

Just finished the diff fluid. Piece of cake thanks to your assistance and a correctly fitting fluid pump. The one I had didn't fit the quart bottle. My arm is a little sore from pumping, though.

Glad all worked out! Which fluid did you go with?

70W-90 Royal Purple. Couldn't find 80W-90 like the manual for the LSD calls for. Also, I somehow managed to blow a fuse. I had the car sitting with the battery disconnected for a while. The fuse controlled the HVAC control lighting and most (but not the menu wheel) of the buttons on the steering wheel.

80W-90 is typically only found in non-synthetic, or synthetic-blend, products. Using a high-quality synthetic 75W-90 GL-5 gear oil w/anti-slip additive was the right move and a significant upgrade!
