I tested map 7 on the Stillen for a good bit this afternoon... good grief what a monster!! I think the sweet spot for the stock tires and suspension is map 4 or 5. So fun!!

I got my first oil change supplies. Gonna get some 5w30 in there with a GTR filter. Wow the filter is small! Looks like a motorcycle filter.

Bonus is I just built some ramps for my coach and 2 of them will work perfectly for getting the front of the car up.

Is the rear jack point that bulkhead where the chassis stiffeners bolt up between the mufflers behind the diff?

In amongst the fins of the differential there is a big ol' nub sticking down. That's the part you want to focus on... go slowly at first and make sure you're in the right spot.

Ahh yeah I see it now, just looked under there with a light. Thanks!

Here are a few pics of the sound deadening project. Audio sounds so much better. All rattles gone, and can barely be heard from the outside even with the volume cranked. Road noise seems about the same. If you wanted that more quiet, you would probably need to do the doors as well. Exhaust sound is slightly quieter, but mine is really loud so wasn't expecting much. This took 6 18x32 sheets. Can not see in the photos I took but the rear tail light area is done, front side of the wheel wells, and inside of the wheel wells. The front side just has large triangle pieces I didnt go for full coverage there.

After putting down two full sheets in the bottom of the hatch I used the paper backing to make templates for most areas. I was also able to just flip the template for most of the opposite side. I had to use scraps to make the same size triangle for one of the front side of the wheel wells. Used seam tape to hide any seams or overlaps. With zero experience someone a bit younger and with a healthy back could probably do this in about 8 hours. It took me with the wife's help about 14 hours.

Got the Continentals mounted today. ExtremeContact Sport02s, same size as stock. I can tell they grip better after one fast test ride. So, between the stiffer sway bars and these new sneakers I'm good for a while...
I'll probably go through withdrawal when the snow flies and I have to put the Z away.

Last track days of the year at VIR and crossed 40 thousand miles in the Nismo
This is my absolute favorite track. I've logged so many hours there in iRacing. It'd be a dream to track it. Sweet video.

On stock Dunlops or R-comps? It hooks up very well. And any fuel starvation below half tank or braking issues? My main concerns before taking mine out next year in west coast heat.

This is on Continental ECF tires. Never got a chance to track the stock dunlop tires unfortunately. No braking issues provided you swap pads/fluid for something more track oriented but be prepared to go through pads pretty quickly on track. I was going through a set of carbotech pads after 2 days with the stock front brakes. Since switching to the AP front kit that's gotten a lot better and my track pads last 2 weekends of track driving usually. Fuel starvation is unfortunately an issue at some tracks. So far the worst for it has been CMP. At VIR it was only a problem coming out of the very last set of corners at the very end of the session when i get close to half a tank. No issues at all at Road Atlanta so it depends on the track and how many sustained high G right hand turns there are.

Going to take a 55 miles drive using the toll road to bring stuff to son. My second trip in a month. Told him a year ahead already and its still at my place (going to return the house to the company soon). At least the Z is larger than the Miata LOL!
