Z1 just called, we know the problem. CHRAs are in the wrong housings. They have not revised the instructions to these turbos yet and the person that gave me the instructions via email, left it out, or didn't know themself. They are getting them swapped over and covering a large portion of the...
Ali and I both got the Z1 VRX70B turbos and all the fuel support mods to max them out. AMS Stage 3 HPFP, AMS Stage 2 injectors, and Hellcat LPFP with relay bypass. My install hit a little snag and isn’t finished yet. I Think he made around 650WHP on pump gas.
Engine is finally out of the car and Turbos removed. Hopefully they were shipped out yesterday to Z1 for inspection. I would love to have an update by the end of next week.
Went to pick the car up last Friday. It isnt making boost. Everything that can be easily checked seems fine. All logs look good except the Turbo speeds which are reading like bad speed sensors, but that still does not explain literally 0 boost pressure. No signs of turbo damage which again is...
Yeah that is the issue for sure. It’s been a problem since the 370. There was a fix for it but I can’t remember anymore what it was. Mine only made the noise when going over decent elevation changes at an angle. So I never bothered with doing the fix. If you dig around a bit you may be able to...
I don’t have any sounds coming from the coil overs. I know with my 370z I had issues with clunks but it was BC coils and they were not true type. The spring didn’t fit correctly in the rear bucket. Do you know if the people having issues went with the true rears?
I just had my oil changed at 900 miles while the Z1 Turbos were installed. I had planned on doing it at 1500 anyway. For the Transmission at most I would do a filter and plan on it at 1500.
Latest update: Car is almost finished up with the upgraded turbo install and plethora of little touches to go along with it. My original paint and body person for the wide body install bailed on me. Apparently he didn't take me serious even though I was calling him once a month with updates...
To add to racebox reply. I've also noticed jumps in rpms on various cars when the a/c compressor turns on or off. Even turning the steering wheel can add extra stress and increase idle. All perfectly normal. This has been even more common on a couple of my Nissans over the years.
Ive seen videos of two people empty the can around 3k miles. It had more oil in it than my last three cars combined in 12k plus miles catch cans. Which doesn’t surprise me because with only 600 miles on the car I already found oil up to my passenger side turbo. Problem is Z1 and any single can...
Sorry forgot to address the intercooler question. I wouldn’t say it is a necessary upgraded. Unless you are looking for longer track sessions. At some point without an actual increase to heat exchange you will still become heat soaked. The pump you are getting should be more than enough with...
Yes I currently have the Turbosmart dual port BOVs. These engines don’t like open to atmosphere BOVs. The turbo smart dual port are the best choice to get some sound and keep everything happy. I also have an install video for those on YouTube. Couple of important things are mentioned in it that...
Borla makes great systems. Nice to see them bring this to market finally. Its just a bit too small diameter for anyone looking to make 600+ HP in the future.
Welcome and congrats on this Nismo! Looking at your parts list made me want to share some information. The AMS intercoolers do not fit with the Z1 CF engine cover. Which I see you will be getting the Nismo cover. It is more slim in design and looks to not have an overhang on the edges so it may...
Sooo, I don't have an MT to confirm but one of our Aussie friends reported something that may be useful. There is a cap on top with a set screw that may be helping hold it on as well as the locktite. Id love for someone to find this info and see if it help remove it at all.
If you have not tried The Elders Scrolls Online that is one of my favorite all time MMOs. It offers a great combat system not seen in traditional MMOs. Final Fantasy online is good but requires a subscription. On the more traditional side Guild Wars 2 is great but is only available on PC. The...
Man it’s been a lot. Maybe to help me narrow it down a bit, do you have a particular genre you like? FPS, RPG, MMO, Racing, etc. Or are you just looking to try something fun? Also which platform you play on?
