Pretty sure everything on the intake is identical on all models/years so far (‘23-‘26).
Correct

Nismo accessory/performance parts are not factory equipment on the Nismo trim (would be cool if they were, though).

I have a 24 Performance that that I bought in October of 2024... coming up on 18k on the clock. I daily mine.

Only LEGITIMATE complaint: No Remote Start.

The rest are just trivial bullshit you'll find wrong on any car on the planet if you drive it enough. The rear camera? Yeah it sucks but you're not watching a movie on it, you're backing up for 12 seconds and you have mirrors and sensors.

The sound system... pfsh. Go get a luxury car, not a sports car.

I LOVE THIS CAR. My only legit personal complaint.... it's not a full sized truck... I have had sports cars as toys, but I have to keep reminding myself I have to call a friend now if I need to pick something big up from the hardware store.... at least until my 53 f100 is done, lol.
, lol.
THIS RIGHT here is it for me. My 24 Performance has been and is a dream. Remote start would be nice.

Only "problem" I can think of on my 2024 Perf is my infotainment system reboots sometimes like 30 seconds after startup. Has happened maybe 10 times.

Thanks to ALL for the replies !!

The only new "Z" i was able to test drive here in Aus was a base model. It is a nice car but it truthfully left me quite disappointed when compared to my old Z32.
Handling and Engine performance were very " Tame" .

The dealer is adamant that the Nismo version is quite a step up in handling and a "little" better power wise .... so it was enough for me to place an order.

The old VG30DETT in my Z32 which is heavily modified ( 500+ rwhp) has been 100% bullet proof .... I was hoping the VR30DDTT in the current Z would prove to be just as realisable...

The busy engine bay of the Z doesn't worry me as i have dealt with the engine bay of my Z32 for years....so very used to the non user friendly nature.

It's amazing how much a few bolt-ons really wake this car up!

You'll definitely want at least some swaybars, then whatever power-adders suit your fancy.

I have an order for the upcoming 2026/2027 Nismo here in Aus...having just joined the forum and reading a lot i am not overly thrilled with the amount of "issues" from owners .!!

Ranging from what it seems could be potentially serious to ........... "it shouldn't happen" QC,s issues. A little concerning to say the least.

What do current owners overall , think ?
Welcome and thank you for bringing these potentially serious issues to light. I've been beating on mine for over 30K miles. If you would, please list said issues so I can decide if I need to trade it in.

More importantly- what issues have you experienced in 30K miles? How many years to get to that milage?

YES, Perhaps someone should start a thread where anything actually serious is tracked.

You can also report serious issues that affect safety to NTHSA yourself. They say the Z’s Driver Assistance & Saftey features “meet performance characteristics”.

There’s a database of reported issues. I find only 1 reported complaint for ALL years of the RZ34 Nissan Zs. It’s a hood popper deployment on a 2023 Z.

As a comparison, my family owns a Honda Pilot where there are 7 Investigations and 678 complaints. Probably there are fewer Zs on the road, but so far just a few recalls and 1 complaint is good.

I don’t consider recalls or when Nissan fix a problem under warranty to be a potentially serious problem. Provided the owner goes to a Dealership to address it.

Only things I know about are:
  1. A minor bumper harness issue affecting some cars. Covered under a recall.
  2. The “hood poppers” although I have yet to hear of one that just deployed without hitting something directly. Hitting something small in the road or going over a bump shouldn’t cause poppers to deploy. Which has reportedly happed with other manufacturers (Jag, maybe others too).
  3. The car can lose the back-end. It’s happened to me ( in the wet) but I didn’t lose control of the car or spin. This is common for light RWD cars with a lot of torque. It’s why the VTC and all the traction control is there. I consider it driver error.
There may be more items, but I haven’t found reports of major mechanical issues. There have been complaints on the same VR30DDTT engines (Q50 +). But they have been addressed in the Z to my knowledge.

Hey OP, here is a list of my experiences. Would I call them issues, yes and no. These are just items I feel are worth addressing.

For context, I have a 2024 Nismo - Passion Red. Located in the USA.

1) the paint is not strong, chips easily. I would recommend a full car protective wrap and ceramic coating.
2) trunk hatch rattles due to low resistance on the popper springs. I upgraded the hatch release springs and the rattle went away.
3) the Bose sub is sub-par. Upgraded with a replacement spare-tire sub for better bass.
4) Reverse camera sucks. Upgraded to one that is s higher resolution.
5) added Nismo intakes because I want those sweet sweet turbo noises. (I am a 5 year old at heart.)

Now, here's the sensitive list. The issues I have seen people discuss but I have personally not experienced.

1) Parking proximity sensors harness fails in the front bumper. Factory NSB coverage.
2) Oil pressure solenoid failure. Could lead to self destructive engine. I would assume it will be covered under warranty for anyone that it applies to.

I font know if there is a list on the forum of issues and links to topics, but definitely look through the forums and Facebook groups. Lots of good people in the community who are knowledgeable and happy to help.
What confuses me is the comment directly above yours praises the paint, lol
But yeah I've heard it's soft too
Can I ask do you have a sound clip of the induction noises or when it happens when in the Nismo?

My paint sucks and it easily stains if you don’t clean bird poop off of it immediately.

I love how EVERY car forum complains about factory paint quality, regardless of make/model.
