Has anyone ever put there car int shipping mode for winter storage?

Yes, mine is there right now. I have her in a garage with the car cover on and the Shiping mode engaged.

I hook up a battery maintainer, before I put the car cover on, so don’t need to put the car into “shipping mode”.

It shuts down most of the computers t maintain your battery, but using a battery tender helps a lot also.

Would the maintainer be good for 6 month? I had experience with boats (hit and missed) on various brands.

That's an indoor only cover right? Did you have to secure it with string or bungee cords?

Correct. My cover in the picture is an indoor cover. It’s custom fit, with no strings or bungee cords required. It was elastic sewn into the bottom perimeter of the cover and fits like a glove.
