So, why does the 370Z trail badly here vs the 350Z in this poll? its a lighter car, but is it the styling that didn’t win any favors?

Nissan and Alfonso sure did hit the home run with the new design though, best of two heritages.
That surprised me too. I've never owned or driven the 350z or 370z, but I've always had the impression the 370z was just an all around improvement. I still think that ~250kW out of an NA 6cyl is impressive for an affordable car

I loved the Z32, which I bought used for cheap and drove the hell out of it until it threw a rod on the Howard Frankland Bridge between Tampa and St Pete at 195,000 miles, and the engine oil wound up in Tampa Bay. I loved the interior design and T-tops. With all of the mods my 370 has, it is a total blast and super reliable thus far- it's been through Las Vegas summers and driving hard through Death Valley, trips across the country, and now back in Florida. The 370's VQ37VHR motor is far superior to the VQ35DE in the 350, which I had in a G35 Coupe that I had for around a decade.

I live in Clearwater and my Z32 is my daily driver.

Yes, the 370 is miles better than a 350. Way better engine, lighter (it was lighter than a 350), nicer interior, better looking in my eyes.

I actually waited on the unveiling of the 370z since it was right around the corner at the time.
When they took the wraps off, I threw up a little and went to the dealer for a 350z.

This new Z could be the 370z I waited for but looks way better.

S30, I've always loved the look of a modded OG Z
S130, My grandfather had one as a very little kid I thought it was like a "Super" version of the S30
Z31, Was never on my radar but I have respect for them.
Z32, I never was a fan (except for all the plug and play "upgrades" that could fit the S13/S14)
Z33, I wasn't a fan.....until the HR and San Marino Blue came out then I was hooked and became a Z guy - I hate DEs & love HRs.
Z34, I strongly feel the 370Z is the best thing to come out of Japan since the FD RX-7.....that was until the RZ34 of course
RZ34, Takes the crown from the 370Z.

Still one of the cleanest purposeful builds, cool video I've watched often.

True that he was passing lots of cars in a beginner's group but tight build, no crazy aero!

...and my fav Z31
