Go with lowering springs on the stock shocks like this:
Swift Spec-R Lowering Springs | 2023+ Nissan Z (4N915R)

Feature / Specification
Swift Spec-R Lowering Springs Details

Front Drop ~1.10 inches
Rear Drop ~1.10 inches

Make sure you transfer your OEM rubber spring seats and isolators onto the new Swift springs.

If you need more help, just reply or message me. Be more than happy to help!
Is that recommended for the NISMO variant and not the run of the mill Z? That's my concern. I want to be sure I find something that fits that specific model. Thank you.

Nismo coil overs. I dropped the car as you can see, I have it set fairly soft it rides well it’s factory and reliable. It’s factory fits of no noise clunks bumps or anything else.

Are you saying the factory Nismo car didn't come with Nismo suspension already? What's that about? Seeing as the Nismo model already has upgraded suspension over the lower models, what difference do the nismo nismo coil overs make over that?

It has Nismo suspension - but not the same as the accessory kit.

The factory-installed suspension on the NISMO features bespoke springs, larger tuned shocks/dampers, stiffer stabilizer bars, and unique chassis/subframe bracing engineered specifically for the trim. It is a non-adjustable shock and spring setup.

The NISMO accessory coilover kit has a twin-tube design, linear rate race springs, 16-click rebound damping adjustability, threaded ride height adjustment, and aluminum top mounts.
It is not the exact factory-tuned assembly that comes stock on the Z NISMO

It also lowers the vehicle about an inch.

FA500 with swift springs are only slightly more exhausting than stock. They'll let you slam it to the ground if you wanted to.

Only real downside is it makes a 2+hr trip from tiring to exhausting.

Confused by the Initial post and reasoning here.
- Purchased a Z
- Wants to reduce wheel gap
- Asks about suspension options to accomplish that (including coilovers)
- States car was purchased with dealer installed NISMO coilovers
- States car is lowered an inch

Not being purposefully critical, and there’s a lot of good info here, but I’d like to make sure OP gets where he needs to go, and I think he was there before he started the thread. Am I missing something?

I have them on my car and it came down just under an inch...
The factory Nissan Nismo trim shocks/struts with no other changes? I'm not talking about the coilovers. The Nismo trim has a nearly identical ride height as the Sport & Performance trims.

It’s simple. I don’t like the NISMO coilovers. The sales person sort of talked me into them. I regret it. I am a set it and forget it so would prefer a lowering spring spec’d for a NISMO trim and move on down the road. Thank you.

The question I answered "no" to was specifically regarding the stock Nismo struts. The Nismo trim and aftermarket Nismo parts are completely different things.
