There’s a new slightly different V2 Nismo engine cover and I was able to order it from a dealership out west called Raceway Nissan, because their price is the best on the internet with shipping and taxes($742) should be here by the 30th.

A member on the FB page posted what it looks like. Biggest difference is wider middle section and a black Nismo badge instead of silver. Before and after pics

Installed new hangers for AWE exhaust - about a 1/4 hole shorter and much stuffer..

also,

install the kanjo hood struts - didn’t use any washers on top... factory hinge nut is 12mm w/ paint - had to lightly tap socket with a soft mallet because of the thick paint.. and the kanjo lower fender nut is 1/2”. Had the car on the jack for the hangers so access to lower fender nut was wide open..

Ordered 1/2" drive 18", 24", 30" extension set, sturdy 1/2" drive universal, 14mm deep well socket, magnetic fender & fascia covers. Lower downpipes here I come. The tools required to do these mods.. glad I'm not the only one.. 😄. Love the idea of having decent fender covers though,

To improve clearance between the bottom of the resonators and the top of the lower center brace. Also improved clearance between the resonators. I also did the kracka mod to the lower center brace.

this is the u-joint i used w/ 20” extension and breaker bar for lowers (top side) - all 3/8 drive and was a piece of cake even on the top side.

I see. Thanks for details. Mine is at times contacting floor pan. Spacer at LDP union would fix. I think.

Considering springs mainly to lower the front - to create a rear to front downward slop.

looking at the ride height - the front bumper looks like the body has a upward slop from rear to front - like the carolina squat - lol.

I’m all stock suspension wise except for sway bars. i’m wondering if my AWE touring exhaust has increased the front bumper clearance or is it just my imagination?

What is the perf. stock ride height (center front bumper)? I’m currently at ~8.5”

updated: I’m measuring ~4.6” at all fours - bottom of fender to top of wheel - so must be my imagination or the front bumper just has upward appearance.

Nismo engine cover came in today and I must say the main reason I got it outside of its looks is because my car is a Nismo. Time to sell the Z1 variant to make back some money 😂 😆

But then I saw an issue that I’m disappointed in with Z Spec’s quality and hopefully they fix it!! The AC caps I bought from them a few months ago decided to randomly pop off and land on the bottom plate. 😡
