80W-90 is typically only found in non-synthetic, or synthetic-blend, products. Using a high-quality synthetic 75W-90 GL-5 gear oil w/anti-slip additive was the right move and a significant upgrade!
The diff fluid I got has a friction modifier added, so that should ensure good diff functionality

So I bought some intakes that will be delivered by Saturday, however I wanted to try my hand at the harder part which is removing stock intakes. I watched videos and read AMS guide and I was able to take them out in less than 1.5 hours with the right tools and all from the engine bay. The worst part to me was pulling off the lower intake piping after loosening the brackets. I thought it would just slide off. I’m a small build guy(5’10 170 lbs)so I was able to get my hands in right places that could easily stress a person out of a bulkier stature.

I came out the grocery store yesterday and was almost out of the parking lot when I saw a note under my wiper.

"Nice car!"

Open it and the dude says he drives a Z also and listed his name/phone number/insta/Facebook, lol

Cool but kinda weirds me out too. That might be bc I'm in my 50s though lol

It's not what I did with my Z; it's what I did for it. Just ordered a QuickJack (the 6000TL bundle) since they're having a 20% off.
Quickjacks are a must for any sports car IMO.

I'm really excited. I've got a set of Race Ramps that I'll sell but I take care of all of our cars here including the Z, my wife's XC40, and my stepsons' lowered Corolla and M4. They'll definitely get use.

I have race ramps too. They are easy for oil changes and whenever I decide to do diff fluid instead of getting out the QJ's (they are heavy) and hooking up all the hoses... etc but thats just me and how I have my garage configured I keep both.

Picked mine up from the dealership today after dropping it off for warranty service earlier this week.

They performed:
  • Recall R24B6 (front bumper harness)
  • Recall P2A21 (headlight spacer kit)
  • Disabled ASE (Active Sound Enhancement aka fake engine noises)

How’d you hear about the recalls? I haven’t gotten anything from Nissan about mine but I’d take it in if there were outstanding recalls.

How’s it sound without ASE? I used to DJ so I love electronic music and this stereo absolutely sucks when it comes to low end.

Check for open recalls here:
https://www.nissanusa.com/owners/recalls-vin.html
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

The Nissan app and Carfax were both only showing one, but AutoCheck was showing both, which the dealership's system matched. The headlight shim recall was only for very early 2023's, and the front bumper harness one is for 2023-2024's I believe.

With ASE disabled I hear more of the engine/intakes/exhaust as it's not being over-powered by that weird rumble noise pumped through the speakers that gets louder with RPM. I did leave ANC enabled, but I've read that disabling that too improves the stereo sound quality as it's not trying to also compensate for road/tire noise, etc. I usually drive with the radio off so I'm fine with it canceling out road/tire noises.
