Well... Time for me to start researching Eibach vs. Swift springs on this platform! I've had both brands on previous cars and appreciate the progressive spring rates.

*EDIT*
Appears than Swift only has the R springs available for the Z and I have no interest in a linear rate lowering spring on a street car, so, Eibach it is! I was always very happy with their springs on my Evo X and ex-wife's WRX. I had Tein then Swift on my Evo IX. Swifts were all the rage for S2k's too.
Are you sure these are not available? Spec-R springs are nicely progressive, loving the buttoned down handling now, along w my swaybars of course.

It appears you are correct! Back in the day, the Spec-R springs were linear while their street/sport springs were progressive. Only the R's are available for the Z.

Either way Swift and Eibach are both great brands, had Eibach Pro-kit plenty of times before. It all depends on the spring rates you're after.

The dealership I picked up my Z at put new front tires on it before I picked it up but when I got there the new ones were on the rear. What ever. When I got home from the 1800 mile trip home I thought something was off. I was installing spacers and found the service dept rotated the wheels when they put tires on. Well the manual says the wheels are not to be rotated because they have different offsets. When I switched the front and back wheels the car looked waaaay better. LOL Some service expertise eh???
I know you were just picking yours up but this is why I put little marks on my wheels so I can tell if anyone ever rotates them. I once got charged at a Chevy dealer for tire rotation on my Corvette. I told the guy they were not rotated because it's so easy to see the different tire sizes and I marked them. He then went on his spiel on why tires should be rotated.

I don't get how dealers can employ people who dont even know basic car maintenance.

Today.....researching more vendors for upgrades.

Has anybody dealt with Touge Factory (tf-works.com), reputable and legit for parts?

I'm confused now. I thought Swift Spec-R Lowering springs for the RZ34 were progressive rate according to some posts by u/trackratZ. After looking into it, nothing I've found says they are progressive rate. @trackratZ if you have it, could you please provide some more info/links regarding Swift Spec-R springs? Thanks.

I stand corrected, these RZ34 Spec-R springs are not progressive, but linear rate with extra tighter wounds at the top of the stroke. I was comparing them with the familiar Eibachs and thought the same design. Been driving them on local canyon roads and still quite happy, not harsh, I think these Spec-Rs are designed to still compliment factory shock valving. Coilovers could be next step but will see how these handle on track as baseline. Let me know what you end up with.

Sebring.... the highs were high and the lows were really really low
That lap was fine as far as I can tell, you got up to a good speed, 130 at the back straight. So what happened that caused the terrible rod knocking? Oil pressure, heat, ??? Sorry to hear that, something to learn from?

I wish I knew. During the last session of the day I got an oil temperature warning for only the second time. Started to back off but the temperature just wasn't going down nearly as quick as I expected. Eventually made it back into the pits after a cooldown lap and next thing I know it's sounding like that on startup. This was my first time on some stickier tires (Vitour P1) sosome people have speculated that might have been a factor. Sure wish Nissan gave me an oil pressure gauge in the Nismo model...
