My $0.02…swap the mismatched screw and stack of washers on your engine cover with one of the screws in the back. ;)

I lost the bolt and is waiting for the replacement ?

Also the replacement from Z1 is ridiculous once you factor in shipping and taxes and the funny thing is I’m in Georgia yet the shipping is $15 for that little bolt. I found a 3 pack replacement on Amazon for $13.99 shipped

Picked up a spare fuel basket and installed the Z1 Walbro 525 kit + the Holley HydraMat for both sides of the tank.

This should eliminate any low fuel level cuts.

So, any link to the kit, where did you get the parts, ect....also post up pictures of your install if doing it yourself

Holley HydraMat Install Magnet Kit

Holley HydraMat Fuel Filter Sump - On-Pump

EVIL ENERGY 3/8" NPT Male to 5/16" Barb Fitting Adapter 90 Degree Aluminum Black

I wonder how does this compare price wise, to the AMS fuel pump kit for $1,300

This whole kit + the 525 fuel pump kit is about $800.

If you plan to go for big power 800whp+ and require a 2nd fuel pump in the future, then the AMS kit is a better choice.

So my Z1 filters came today and I was disappointed to learn that the Nismo Z doesn’t have the same size filter as the other VR30’s. It’s a bit wider. I didn’t want to do any of the intakes because all I’ve read is stressful stories of the install.

Blow air through the filters side by side and if it's anything like their 370z filters, the stock paper filters actually allow more air through.

Today I picked up my Z after being in the rear end shop.

I had a Nismo GT Pro 1.5 LSD installed and so far so good. Should be better than anything that comes stock on the Z

Took a chance on a $6 (each) headrest cover and was pleasantly surprised……

I spent over 6 hours on what should have been max 2-3 hours of effort removing factory exhaust and installing the AWE Track exhaust.

Of note: the welds on the X-Pipe look horrendous (you should see the inside), the fitment was not perfect and took several hours to ensure the pipes would not hit and rattle the subframe, and I ended up snapping off one of the Nissan play-doh bolts on the mid-exhaust hanger brackets. Oh, and my torque wrench decided to go bad and now one of the AWE slip-on clamp bolts just wants to keep spinning with no resistance.

EDIT: AWE customer service got me straight on the clamp bolt. They sent me three clamps for free without any hassle!

Edit#2: Hanger bracket bolt torque is only 10ft lbs, don't be me

At least it sounds nice

Yikes, I figured for an exhaust like that it would fit better. How hard is it for a company to design a product that just fits well. Frequency Intelligent is looking more and more appealing.

I bought an AWE tunning exhaust from a member on this forum, and the exhaust was perfect. No issues at all. I would not worry too much about the weld around the X-pipe, as long as it's sealed that's all the really matters.

I think my X-pipe was off a bit when they welded it together - leading to the remaining portion being off canter a bit and difficult to align. If you put it on the ground it isn't flat and wobbles like a table with an uneven leg. It did look sealed so that's good. I sent pics to a welding supervisor I know that works for the military and he said that it's typical. Not great by any means, but for a mass produced "cheap" exhaust pretty normal.

I specifically had issues with the rear subframe where the two rear pipes immediately come out of the X-pipe, which resulted in problems down the line with the end of the pipe getting imo too close to the rear sway bar. But all is well now.

I forgot though, the spring clamp they provide for the evap adapter & hose is too small. I think someone else here or on YouTube mentioned it. I had to run to O'Reilly's to get a regular screw type clamp

That's shitty quality control! I visited the Stillen factory today to see how all is made and QC applied. Impressed with nice tight tolerances and smooth mandrels. Ordering one and will report back. Noise alone is not the only deciding factor. I will install this before the weekend. My Z will eventually be tracked after retiring the RB26DETT 240Z

They look great! I wanted a larger diameter or else I would have also gone with Stillen. This was my first "sleeved" exhaust that didn't use typical flanges or a one piece solid pipe. With the off canter x pipe it made it so difficult with the sleeved design approach as the pipes rotate within the other pipe they're sleeved into
