Want a 400Z to modify, should I start with NISMO?

No problem for me, since I’m just on public highways and not really interested in seeing flashing lights behind me or robbing banks to pay for insurance premiums.

Point of interest...

I read some where that the new MT for the Nismo got upgraded/reinforced. That it is not the same gear-box as the one in the 2027 Sport/Performance trims. I tried to locate the article to reference it, but no joy so far. Perhaps someone else read about it. If so, please validate the source and link the reference. If that's the case, then the upgraded tranny may change the value ($$$) equation. I'll keep looking for the article since may consider a 2028 Nismo MT myself. Also want to study the 2027 Nismo owners' comments/reviews, once they start to post.

I read that, too! That's why I was inquiring to the various weakpoints of the platform. I'm going MT regardless so that's either a '27 Nismo that I'll mod day 1 or a '25 Performance w/ MT that I'll apparently need to drop the tranny and ship it off to be upgraded.
