Today the sensor went off that one of my tires had low pressure ... at 24 psi. I assumed it was because we had a 20F temp change overnight and into the day.
When I got home, I cranked up the compressor to air the tire up and the gauge read 4 psi higher than the TPMS was showing on the dash.
I went to each tire and found the same ... ~4 psi off. I have had the wheels ceramic coated and got rid of the stock 007 tires and have had no issues until today.
My question is ... how do I get the TPMS to recalibrate to a factory setting and "relearn" the baseline setting?
I could Google it, but the people in the forum have been MUCH more accurate on the "how-tos".
TIA for any input.

Let me ask, when showing 24 psi, was it from the overnight temp drop of 20F, then your tire gauge shows 4 psi higher after driving home? It's normal for tire temps to increase that much just from driving, esp from lower psi's. You need to compare cold vs cold temps, see if your TPMS are off.

Dealership or major tire shops may be able to re-calibrate if necessary.

I’ve noticed TPMS tends to go way off course regardless of temps. When o bought my car in August it was at 24psi, pumped it to rec specs. Then 3 weeks later it went down to 28, but would go up to 31, then up to 34 and back down to 28.
As of now I got 34 left front, 36 left rear, 38 right front and 32 right rear.
I probably need a calibration, but also want them to look at my e break as I got a yank that thing all the way to stop.

My TPMS seems to work pretty well, especially if my car is parked in the garage overnight. I check every morning when I start the car up, and they're spot on (readings generally appear on the dash within a couple of hundred yards from home).

It is cooling off here, and lately I've noticed that they're reading 1 psi lower in the morning, so I'll top up this weekend.

If my car is parked outside, I notice variations on the readings, especially if one side of the car is in the sun and the other is in shadow. The sun side always reads high about 2 to 3 psi. I don't really worry about this and focus on the garage cold start pressures.

As I'm out driving the pressures go up 2 to 4 psi, sometimes unevenly, depending on conditions. No biggie. When driving I really only care if they drop below the cold pressure. If that happens, I'm looking for a nail or a screw.

As others have said focus on the cold pressures, and preferably after overnight in a garage. I always use a gauge when I top up and I've found that the TPMS matches the gauge reading quite closely.

I skimmed through the manual, and I didn't see any DIY info on calibrating the TPMS.

Usually you drop all the tire pressures at least 4lbs. I’d probably try 28/29 all around. Then drive it, don’t worry it won’t hurt the tires.

The TPMS should alert. Then drive home (or wherever) and air up to your desired pressures. It should ā€˜re-learn’ at that point & it will be recalibrated.

BTW- I’ve personally settled on 35 front &. 33/34 rear. But that’s another can of worms.

Sounds like you either have 4 bad sensors or one bad pressure gauge.

Ive done the same, IMO factory advised pressure is too low.

It was the crappy little portable compressor. I used my real compressor and the tire gauge and filled them to factory settings. All good now.

Mine are spot on - i have a calibrated air gage to compare the tire sensors to.

i had mine set spot on in the summer 32/29 and the air temps just dropped and the tire pressure dropped 3psi to 29/26

I've noticed on the drive to/from work, it only fluctuated by 1-2 psi ... only a 15 mile drive at highway speeds, so that seems the norm for my commute.

To me the TPMS seems to be a bit of a hit and miss and definitely very hard to just nail the pressure right on the money, I hate how all this manufacturers are slowly little by little taking away from us the the end consumer the ability to fix even small shit like this, I remember older cars having an actual button to calibrate the TPMS. I've tried to set my pressures and once the vehicle gets rolling it'll show them out of whack, car is garage kept, I do this when the temperature is around 68-70 degrees, my go to gauge is a Jaco one but for the sake of trying to eliminate any type of fuckery I've used other kind of gauges and just like the promise land I can never just nail it perfect. So I dunno anymore!!! LoL

I had a digital gauge that died after under a year of use, so I replaced it with:
Amazon Hazet Gauge
I can't really trust the digital ones, since you can't replace the batteries in most of them and they aren't as accurate. The cheap portable compressor has a digital display and is ~4 psi off on all my vehicles.
Also, the Hazet guage is German made so the connector needs to be changed to a US size. I had to do this to connect to the hose on a Craftsman compressor.

The internets says you can reset TPMS on the infotainment screen, under Settings.
The internets also says the first step in resetting TPMS on a 2023 Nissan Z is to insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position. Yep. That’s it.
Not near my Z to check.

Also found this in the manual during my search. Isn’t that one of the key functions of the TPMS? If not, it should be. With run-flats it may not be immediately obvious.

My Z said on dash that pressures aren't available unless driving. Took a few minutes and they showed, didn't even need to leave the 'hood.

Thanks for the link - i like their calibrated version…

The one in your link ($47) is only accurate to ± 0.3 bar (approx. +/-4psi)
https://www.hazet.de/asset/download/93badd5b-be24-4715-a7f4-57430205f1f3?

Hazet offers a calibrated version ($122) that is accurate to +/-0.008 bar (+/-0.12psi)

https://www.hazet.de/en/products/pn...ir-measuring-device/product/ean-4000896212385

i bought this ($30) it is calibrated to +/- 0.5%, +/-0.5psi @100psi, +/- 0.25psi@50psi
