Thanks for that info! The Nismo is around 16 psi so I think I'll stay away from Map 7. I think Map 5 is better for me especially with the upgraded intake and Stillen Comp exhaust.
I have that exhaust coming tomorrow. How do you like it?

Has anyone ran a dyno test prior to the Tru Control install, and then after? From what I have heard, you tell Stillen what mods you have and they adjust the maps accordingly, is this true?

Is there a possibility of making map 1 a valet mode...or I am going to teach my kids to drive stick mode? :)

It sounds glorious to my ears on the Nismo. It has some drone but with the 9spd the revs at highway is so low that it's nonexistent. You have a manual so hopefully it's something you can manage.

There's a guy who did on Youtube but he used map 4 or 5 and only gained 21whp/38wtq at peak. However the gains in the mid range was 30-40 whp from 3k-5k rpms. Don't expect 70 whp gains at peak in map 7, at best it will be 55 - 70 whp in the mid range. I will eventually dyno my Nismo with B6A intake and Stillen exhaust as stock, then map 5 and 7 to see the gradual differences.

Stillen says 70 bhp and 86 wtq, depending on altitude and fuel. Because they're in California, they ran these numbers using 91 octane, so expect a few more houses from 93.

I guess you can't read very well. Stillen says 70 horsepower on 91 octane and I'm telling you they never tested it on 93

Did you get your exhaust installed yet? I've got the Stillen comp and it sounds great! Only problem I have is it drones in the higher gears at low rpms and produces a rattling on the right side of my dash, but that may be a different issue.

But the sound is fantastic for the price. Also check the clamps after installing from time to time they have been known to get loose.

No, I can read just fine thank you. For clarity I never said that they tested on 93.

You simply didn't understand the point that I was making. Stillen states increased numbers over stock of 70bhp and 86 wtq, all on 91 octane. Including the base run.

My point was that switching to 93 octane would increase the base run numbers as well, before adding the tru control. Would the module increase the 70bph and 86wtq numbers even more because of the 93 given the higher baseline numbers? As I said....maybe. Obviously the final numbers on 93 will be greater than on 91.

I think the only thing we should look at is the delta difference on the dyno graph Stillen posted.

The peak whp is 56whp but throughout the powerband especially around 5k rpm there is huge gains in whp. The dyno they used might either be a low reading dyno and yes 93 might've made a difference to where the delta difference may or may not be the same. I used Map 6 last night after using Map 4 and 5 and I will say the car was spectacular on it paired with my I/E combination. Next up is Map 7 to see which 4 higher maps I like most and how the car feels with them.

Is starting a pull at 3000 (or 2950) normal?
Not like I’m keeping track, but aren’t they usually 1500-2000?
Maybe it doesn’t make a difference, idk.

I've noticed most dyno operators seem to start around that range.

It's done to spool the turbos quickly and strain the engine less while loaded on the dyno.

Here it is! Soon hopefully!
