Parking spots seem smaller these days, which doesn't jive well with full size trucks. When someone parks cattywompus, hugging the line or over it, sometimes I park my truck perfectly squared up in my spot, which means the other guy can't get into their vehicle.

Is that rude? I feel like it's not, but some people might be offended by their own inability to park. The Tesla has no excuse, I think they have 360 cameras, should be able to park perfectly. But, if they don't care about others, then I don't feel bad if there's 6,000 pounds of truck 3" from their door....
These spaces were plenty wide. I'm parked next to a concrete post on the driver's side, and right up against the line on that side. Because the post is there, I had plenty of room to open my door, and thought I'd have a good buffer on the passenger side. Nope.

I think it's just carelessness, or laziness, or lack of training.

A few weeks ago, it was hot as hades, so I was looking for a shaded spot to park the Z. Unfortunately, the only shaded open spot was close to where I was headed and, of course, a popular location for all the slackers unwilling to walk. It was labeled "compact only," along with the other nearby spots.

I no sooner get to where I was going when I glanced out the window and noticed a lady in an aircraft carrier-size SUV maneuvering, repeatedly trying to squeeze into the compact spot next to my Z. I just shook my head and headed back to my Z, waving at the lady, who was at least kind enough to drop her window, so I can speak to her. I told her I'd help her out and pull my Z out so she could get in easier. She smiled, and I hopped into the Z and beat a hasty path to the furthest parking spot I could find. One door ding or worse on my beautiful Z avoided. ;)

Here's my idea of the perfect parking location for my Z. A "moron-free" zone. ;)

Hey, my take nowadays is, why park close, get a good spot farther away and take the walk as a part cardio exercise, you won’t regret it good for the body and the Z smiles too!!:like: Plus walking back, more time to appreciate the gorgeous lines of that RZ34!

Exactly. And since most people are too damn lazy to walk any distance, you're further away from all the a$$hats and clowns jammed up close together, yacking on phones smarter than they are, as they're slamming down an egg Mcmuffin with their skinny latte. ;)

I am not someone who keeps my sports car as pristine as possible. I bought it, as far as I know I cannot take it with me when I die so I am going to drive the damn thing.

that said, I do stay away from places like parking garages with small-ish spaces like where I work and places where people who normally have trash cars go to do their shopping or go out to eat or something.
Amen, brother! While I also tend to try as park as carefully as possible, I too drive the snot out of my car because that's what it's for. No PPF and I already have some rock chips, but I don't care. A car is a material possession. If I ever need to fix things on it, I'll just fix it.

Not even a 1000 miles on it and someone has already backed in to it.

Just a reminder that people suck and don’t care about others things. I watched them do while at DQ and they just drove off as I was running out to stop them.

just keep a look out
I assume you didn't go through insurance and just going to do patch it up by yourself? Dashcam footage or no? Sorry to hear man.
