Nissan Z: Replacing Gas Pedal

Hello! Anyone know how to take off the Gas Pedal or replace the Gas Pedal? I am trying to find out how to replace the Gas Pedal on my Z. I just need to see how easy it is to take off the Gas Pedal on the Z. Below is the link to the Gas Pedal from Z1 Motorsports:

Disconnect the battery (-)
Unclip the connector at the top.
Remove the plastic rectangular trim at the base of the pedal.
Remove the two bolts.
Disconnect the connector at the rear.

I don't see anything else.

Disconnecting the car battery before you unplug the gas pedal will prevent the computer from detecting the disconnect. The two bolts are 10MM btw.

Just the negative side. No need to touch the positive side.

Here is a picture of the gas pedal with 2 red arrows to make sure I am looking at the right locations.

How do I pop out the little plastic knob at the top red arrow? Can I push it in with my thumb or use a hammer to pound it in? Thanks!

...your Gas Pedal, I mean. And why you need to remove or replace your Gas Pedal. I've never had a Gas Pedal problem in a modern car. Curious what Gas Pedal-related issues can happen to a Gas Pedal that would warrant removal or replacement of a Gas Pedal.

My gas pedal seems to be unresponsive sometimes and I was told by Nissan to replace the gas pedal. Also, I want to replace it with the metal style gas pedal anyway. This metal gas pedal:

When you say, “I was told by Nissan to replace the gas pedal” was that during a visit or over the phone? If so, is your warranty gone? If the problem is the pedal, it should be repaired under warranty.

You going to need bigger shoes for that new pedal…

you can use your ecutek app to monitor and\or datalog the throttle position sensor…
