News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

If anyone still interested in a 2024 Nismo, here are 9 brand new ones lol. Go low ball them, worst they can say is “no”.

But it's not the people's fault, it's Nissan over pricing.

I don't think it's Nissan's fault.
These are made in Japan, which has generally been a more expensive proposition for a few decades now. Then they have to deal with constantly changing tariffs, and honestly, I think Nissan has been eating the tariffs for the time being.

There's a bunch of renters complaining about rent and they think landlords are evil. I have 2 homes, one that we rent. In the last 15 years, the costs of everything has skyrocketed.
Roofing nearly doubled.
Air conditioning repair/replacement just went through the roof last year, has to do with the previous refrigerant being phased out due to environmental legislation.
Our property taxes are $16k/year between the two properties.
The local city landfills have significantly increased rates and limited what they take these last few years. They stopped accepting green yard waste and stopped accepting clean metal car parts.
This green yard waste restriction increased my costs for landscaping because now we have to go out of town to a private yard.
These significant increases were created by over zealous legislation and the people who created the problems have their plebs convinced it's the "evil landlords fault, and we can fix it with even more legislation"
Then they told us our renter can stop paying rent, I can't confront them about it, I can't check credit reports and I can't "discriminate in any way" and that I need to accept the first application no matter how I feel about the person (we have ways around that).

Back to cars, look at all the crap they're installing due to legislation. Eye readers, driver assist safety systems, etc..... Being forced onto the automotive industry.

Now I won't disagree about the dealerships often times being absolute shit bags, they are the worst and I wish we could order directly from the manufacturer

I think a lot of people are unrealistic with the current price of manufacturing and want like 350Z prices. The Z is priced well and has tiers for different flavors of budget.

Not speaking about dealership markup, that's just greed. If they want to make more money, they should try to sell value.

I hope the prices stay the same as last year but I have my doubts .I have one on the way for the end of next month . Green with tan interior .

Wow! I'm impressed and surprised. My Nissan dealer has no process for reserving or buying a 2027. They don't even know their allocation or when they're showing up this year. They can only estimate late September or October. And they're one of the largest volume dealers in the state.

I asked the local Nissan General Sales Manager (So. California) if he's heard any news from HQ about Nismo ordering or release dates.

His reply today was just, "1st of the month"

I think many cars today are overpriced in general. It’s not just the Z Nismo. I feel like the Z is seen as the only overpriced car yet there’s people paying well over 50k for a 2.0t 4 cylinder turbo, FWD Civic Type R, a GR Corolla over 50k and a Golf R over 50k. The other issue is all of those cars I mentioned is based on cars that sell well in lower trims so the manufacturer makes money on them. The Z is based on a platform that doesn’t sell well when it’s stretched at the wheelbase and called an Infiniti Q50/60.

I bought my first new car in 1995 at a Nissan dealership, oh yeah I wanted that 300ZX Twin Turbo sitting in the showroom. I very clearly remember that it was priced in the low 50's.... in 1995. 31 years later, the Z Performance is basically the same price. And the Performance model is right in line with the Z32 TT. Even back then it was slightly too heavy, just a smidge less fast than the Supra. Some things never change..

I went to my dealer today and they told me that I could put a deposit if I wanted to... however, this means nothing to them because they cannot order these anymore. Just allocation and won't know how many and which colors. So, basically the same story we've been hearing. My sales advisor told me that he would be just taking my money with no guarantees.
Hopefully, we'll find out before the Nismos hit the US shores. Then that will be the time to bleed...

It really sounds like nothing has changed in terms of building a Z on the web site and actually finding a Z through a dealer. There seems to be a few more options available (6MT NISMO, wheel choices, etc.), but really, what's different from 2023?

No difference, especially dealer experience plus $1500 more vs 2023
