Awesome negotiating MSRP!! congradulations and Enjoy the Ride. Speed Thrills!! Be Safe.Did something this weekend……..something I wanted to do since having that 300ZX TT poster on my wall as a kid……since being stationed in Japan and actually driving one of those 300ZX TTs (and owning an S13 Silvia with a stout SR20DET)……since loving the design of the Z going back to its origins as the Fairlady Z in 69’…..since forever. This Nissan Z NISMO incorporates subtle design cues from the great Z’s of the past and is truly a work of art in my eyes. My background and mechanical knowledge is classic Ford muscle of the 60's & early 70s, so actually wrenching on this thing is going to be all new, but I'm looking forward to the journey. I was able, after much respectful back and forth, to get my NISMO for MSRP and avoid the $10k markup they had on it. Is the car too expensive? Absolutely, but everything is these days and this is what I wanted, so I'm beyond happy.
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you, learning and sharing this journey.![]()
Yes please, do let me know when you're ready to sell them! Also, thanks for the head's up on the fitiment; we'll see what happens lol.Welcome and congrats on this Nismo! Looking at your parts list made me want to share some information. The AMS intercoolers do not fit with the Z1 CF engine cover. Which I see you will be getting the Nismo cover. It is more slim in design and looks to not have an overhang on the edges so it may work. Just food for thought, a slight trim may be necessary. You may be the first person to figure this out for everyone. Also early march I will be listing a set of AMS Intercoolers that have less than 100 miles on them. It could save you a decent chunk of change. I am upgrading Turbos and they do not work with the new ones.
Don't waste almost $300 like i did lol; there's not a single option that works with the stock rims. BummerWell, did some digging and though you won’t be able to find shank style NISMO (nor any cool ones that I could tell) you can actually get a little wild with these adapters from VMS Racing, which allow you to use any of their pretty interesting/cool/ridiculous tips.
I did, as well as the NISMO intakes. I'll upload the dyno video to Instagram and link it here later today so you can have an idea of how it sounds. I freaking love it overall; sounds sooooooo much better than stock, yet still not annoyingly loud for those of us that live in neighborhoods lol.Did you ever get the Nismo exhaust installed? What are your thoughts ?

I’ve been wondering myself. But kudos to him, he’s probably enjoying the hell out of his Nismo.Get the video uploaded?
Thank you all so much!
Figured I'd give insight into my plan to start with more simple bolt on stuff as I learn the car and get more comfortable working on it. The following is what I've just ordered from Z1 (through my local JDM shop Kraken Motorsports in Fort Worth) I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts:
1. NISMO 2023+ Nissan Z Carbon Fiber Engine Cover
2. NISMO 2023+ Nissan Z Cat-Back Race/Track Exhaust
3. Z1 2023+ Nissan Z Carbon Fiber Radiator Air Guide
4. NISMO 2023+ Nissan Z Cold Air Intake
5. Z1 2023+ Nissan Z Aluminum Undershroud (Anodized Black)
6. NISMO Forged Open End Lug Nut Set - M12x1.25
7. NISMO Valve Stem Cap Set (Red)
8. Nismo Oil Filler Cap (Ratcheting Style)
6-9mo Wish List
1. AMS 2023+ Nissan Z Heat Exchanger
2. AMS Performance 2023+ Nissan Z VR30 Intercoolers
3. AMS PERFORMANCE VR30DDTT STREET FULL DOWNPIPES
My goal on the street is to be able to quit some of these damn Mustangs that keep revving at me lol; I mean I've got paper plates on guys, give me some time here. My other goal is to do some circuit/road course racing.
Is the engine cover just for looks or does it provide any functionality? New member and new car, thanks for your patience if this is a stupid questionDid you end up getting your AMS Intercoolers? And if so, did they make physical contact with your NISMO Carbon Engine cover?
I asked the same question some time back. https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/threads/whats-the-deal-with-engine-covers.2090/Is the engine cover just for looks or does it provide any functionality? New member and new car, thanks for your patience if this is a stupid question
It's mainly to keep the engine bay looking clean. Especially since installing AMS intercoolers deletes the oem covers, leaving it exposed to dustIs the engine cover just for looks or does it provide any functionality? New member and new car, thanks for your patience if this is a stupid question
