Enjoy the new Z! Glad you got to deal with Nismo Nick, I was thinking about buying one of his cars before I ended up buying mine locally. Again, congrats!
Nick is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Seems honest. Very good combination of traits.

Very pleased and I am looking forward to passing either 500 or 1000 miles so I can air it out. The seats are more than adequate when compared to my 350Z.
Congratulations! Post some photos when you get a chance.

I'd recommend to follow the advice on the manual for breaking in, which says 1200 miles

Thank you for the advice. I did not have any trouble keeping the RPM's low-it goes 60 mph at about 1600RPM's. It is an automatic. I need to investigate the miles for break in. The dealer said 1000 miles beak-in and oil change. Others have said 500.

1200 miles cannot hurt and is more conservative. At my age I will not be driving this one 20 years but I do want to take care of it.

The car really wants to rocket but I am being very careful. I looked at the dash and it was in 8th gear and I never felt a discernible shift at all. Different. I used the paddle shifters to alter the RPM's while maintaining speed on the freeway.

Yeah. Up to you. I just wanted to share the screenshot of the manual, to cite my source.

wait...you bought your Z from this dude???

https://www.youtube.com/@nicklovesnissan

I watched a few of his videos, didn't realize he was in AZ!
The very same man. Avondale Nissan. As I said his enthusiasm is refreshing. He is a Nissan man through and through. Nice attitude during the dance. Persistent but not pushy. And it turns out I attended high school for two years in Tripoli, Libya with his father in law. Small world.
