  1. Post Break-in Period

Its a pretty tight squeeze. The plastic under cover is difficult to fold down with these ramps. I bought them to avoid scraping the front bumper. The standard rhino plastic ramps sold at Harbor Freight/ Autozone are just a little steep but eventually get the car to a workable height. I have...

  3. ADD W1 Catch Can

Well done. The intercooler has been the sticking point with me.
  4. Old Guy with a new Z

I guess I am late to the game. I'm 78 and got my 2025 Performance in May of this year. So far it has been great.
  5. Advice on buying a Z

I second the recommendation of Nick Scherr at Avondale. Nick made the buying experience very pleasant. Very knowledgeable and energetic. I'm 78 and 6'2''. The performance is perfect for me.
  6. OEM Oil Filter part number?

Has any body used the Amazon oil change kit for the new Z? It advertises genuine Nissan oil with a 65F0E filter. Any thoughts. With prime its cheaper than Z1. Thank you George Genuine Nissan 0W-20 Oil Change Kit 15208-65F0E
  7. Easter eggs

Just found it on my 2025 Performance.
  8. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Took the dive and installed a radar detector using a mirror tap. It was not that difficult but I am always a bit apprehensive when invading the existing systems especially electrical. Another rewarding accomplishment.
  9. Gauges

My blue driver obd tool does not support oil pressure but I sure can obtain information which I have no idea about. I also on a whim recently bought a Topdon tablet scanner which has worked well for my older cars. It does not recognize the new Nissan Z. I called tech support and they have...
  10. Driving My New Z

On my 2025 Performance A/T I have been unable to call up oil pressure. If anyone can assist with this I would be eternally grateful. It is still the most powerful car I have ever owned and today’s ride was exhilarating. But yes it demands constant attention. Not a cruiser as I discovered today.
  11. Driving My New Z

The manual says “The 4 gauges may display the following items if the vehicle is equipped with them. Oil temp, oil pressure, coolant temp, transmission oil temp and differential gear oil temp. The IF EQUIPPED is apparently the kicker. Thank you.
  12. Driving My New Z

Thank you. I have pushed every button I can find. Apparently the automatic transmission 2023-25 Z autos INCLUDING NISMO are not equipped with an oil pressure gauge. Very frustrating. Have to depend on an idiot light-is this the 1950’s?
  13. Driving My New Z

The 200 miles ride into Northern Arizona was wonderful. I have a lot to learn about a performance automobile now that I don’t have to baby it so much. Passing on country roads-not a problem. One thing I did not mention is the A/C is R134 not that prohibitively expensive new stuff or a propane...
  14. Driving My New Z

I agree with your concerns. I had a used 2004 350Z for over 10 years and liked it. I have never spent this much money on a car before and I am 78. I have been taking the good advice of this club and driving more. I am hesitant park it due to our careless citizens in town.. I have never had a...
  15. 2 month and 1200 mile milestone

I changed them at 970 miles. Thank you.
  16. 2 month and 1200 mile milestone

Thank you. You are correct. I took it out for a spin yesterday with some friends . Really a nice ride. George Prescott
  17. 2 month and 1200 mile milestone

I have completed my very judicious 1200 mile break-in period. I have never had it above 4000 rpm and do not go above 3000 rpm until the oil temp is 130 F. It is a 2025 Performance AT. I like the car a lot. Traded in (gave away) a very well maintained 2004 350Z touring so I got the...
  18. How was your buying experience (new)?

Very pleasant experience. My salesman is a force of nature who drives an 800 hp tuned Nismo. We negotiated over the phone and there were no surprises. I probably paid a little more than i should have but I got a new Performance, right color and only 31 miles on the odo. I have maintained a...
  19. Need Advice

I now at 700 miles into the break-in of my 2025 Nissan Z performance. The car has many features which were present in my 350Z which I find very comforting. I am still learning new things about the car and having fun. Thank you to everyone for the wonderful help. I am keeping it below 4000...
