It's interesting, I've seen quite a few testers running extremely disappointing 0-60 times. For reference, although MT quotes the 370Z as having been tested with a 5.2 second 0-60 time, if I recall correctly, that was a base spec manual which essentially behaves as if the rear tires were buttered from the factory. I've seen test times as low as 4.6 seconds with an automatic Sport trim (I think it was a 2015) so the Performance spec 2023 running 4.3 with an auto seems...sad. Just an observation.

Interesting article with some great shots. Not sure what they're referring to with respect to the bug eye-look from the initial photos, but it looks like they've come around to see what a gorgeous design it really is.

Also the 91 requirement make me wonder if the C&D and Hagerty tests, etc. used octane booster at all (or if Nissan provided them octane booster at all, maybe this is a recent development given those previous tests 😂).

Wait, you don't have decent fuel in the US?
We have 91 minimum here, and I'd suspect most people here who care anything about their cars use 98

overall this was a positive review for the z. the price is really what will turn off most, especially if you add adm to it...

As tested, this particular 2023 Nissan Z is priced at $53,210 due to the addition of illuminated kick plates ($500), premium two-tone Ikazuchi Yellow Pearl and Super Black paint ($1,295), and floormats ($400). That puts it in the same territory as other powerful coupes, including a nicely optioned Ford Mustang GT Premium, a well-equipped Chevrolet Camaro 2SS, or a base Toyota GR Supra 3.0. [/ QUOTE]

It is different rating system between the US and Australia.

The US use AKI (Anti-knock Index) which usually goes 87, 91 and 93.

Here is Australia we use RON (Research Octance Number) which goes 91, 95, 98.

87 AKI = 91 RON
91 AKI = 95 RON
93 AKI = 98 RON
