With such a huge improvement in front braking of the MT Nismo due to the GTR front rotors, are they direct swap for our Performance calipers and components, no upsizing or brake bias adjustments, just the cost of the rotors? Or, aftermarket two-piece will also do? I know pads and fluids need changes to handle the much higher temps.

Not saying a front swap to NISMO spec calipers and rotors wouldn’t work, but the master cylinder, booster and ABS control module are all different on the NISMO.

It's crazy how most people think the difference between the Nismo(Not talking about TrackratZ) and the other Z's is just some seats, wheels, brakes and a aero body kit. Majority of the things it has is minor to major things most people don't think about mainly because it's not visible from the exterior or interior. Most people judge value based on what they can see and numbers.

I knew 99% the master cylinder was different, but searched parts.nissanusa before I posted to be sure, that and saw that the booster and ABS module are diff as well. Z1 sells a front NISMO swap with what I assume is all OEM parts, unless you choose diff rotors, and it comes with new dust shields, hoses and hard lines as well. I don’t know enough to judge what effect NOT changing master cylinder, booster and ABS module would have, but being itā€˜s brakes, I’d want to know before I did the swap.

Also curious whether the new front rotors are THE EXACT Nissan part used on the GT-R. If it is, whether it’s the exact part, or the rotor and hardware with a slightly modified hat, guessing it would be the early R35, as those are 380mm, where later GT-Rs have 390mm. If that’s the case, they’re $1,350 per corner from Nissan. Yikes!

Although after looking up GT-R parts/prices I’m not as curious about it anymore. I don’t see myself spending $3K for a front set of rotors.

Yup they are expensive and that's why I'm happy I got my CZP Paragon rotors for all 4 sides for $1750 shipped during the tax season sale. I also don't like the looks of rotors that don't match front and rear. I'm wondering when the front Z badge will be for sale. That's all I want.

Good tech details from Christian Spencer Senior Engineer..."can't spend a ton of (development) money on everything....dedicate it to where you really see the performance gains to what the customer is after"

Hmmm wonder if I should switch over to this from the Cayman S for tracking...

The GTR rotors aren't exactly impressive; rotors and pads are consumable and we have a selection of aftermarket options that are similar if not better than the 2024-2026 OEM and 2027+ OEM. The GTR rotors do look cool though.

Very true, consumables, just putting on aftermarkets that are slotted and/or quality drilled should improve heat dissipation, better than OEM for any non-Nismo.

Did you notice the difference in terms of less weight with the Paragon rotors? I remember when I put the Z1 2 piece rotors on my old 370z Nismo, the car felt a bit more nimble.

I'm thinking of getting the Paragon rotors all the way around. Seems to me this would be the better option than all that money for the new 2027 front rotors.

Pretty sure my next Z mod purchase will be the Z1 2-piece rotor set.

It’s the best option for me. The car definitely felt more light-ish on its feet. At first I was mad the Paragons didn’t come with a drilled option but I love how sharp the slots look because some designs are trash.

The car looks awesome! I actually like the looks of slotted over drilled. Did you have to get any other hardware to get your car in spec with regards to the alignment? If I remember, I think you have lowering springs.
