My plan is to take a test drive….. LMFAO.
J/k.
I plan to buy 4 and resale with in-house tuning and warranty. With or without Nissan.

releasing a brand new sports card that requires premium during a gas crisis

I’m de tuning. To 280ps for base gas. 0psi max.
Looking at propane /NG solutions.
Who wants to pay $2/L to sit in traffic m-f ???

I don’t. That sounds like $130 a week to go to work and home @20km/h avg.

Valet mode / work mode
$97.50 for a savings of $1700/year on average. Just on gas alone.
So take a longer road that’s a little faster drive. You’ll save more and enjoy yourself going to work.

Then switch to track mode on weekends.
94 plus and blow all those gas savings at the track that’s 1 tank a month for the track by detuning Monday to Friday.

I always advocate buying over leasing, but any sports car I've bought in the past I've never kept more than 4 years. It will be interesting to see what lease rates Nissan will give when the car is released.

So, will you buy new or lease?

I'm buying. Once I get this car it won't be going anywhere. Even after I get too old to get into a low slung sports car everyday and have to get a cushy sedan the Z will still be in my garage for those days I can get into it

can you imagine how 'babied' and 'well cared for' a leased sports car will be? if it's anything like a rental, it'll be well 'broken-in' for the next owner...

Considering this Z may be the last manual, gas powered and unless the new Nismo absolutely blows me away.. I'll probably hold on to this car a lot longer. But besides all of that, I always financed my cars.

Buy, I drive too much for a lease and my cars don't stay stock for long.

I'm curious about the Nismo but realistically this may be my last FR car, I want to make the jump to MR.

Ive never leased a car, but would consider doing it with an all electric vehicle like the Tesla or FIsker as the battery longevity and replacement costs are unknowns.

Buying the Z though remains a no brainer IMHO. It will be one of the last purist focussed two seat ICE cars with a manual. Maybe not a Red Barchetta, but I can see a distant future when eventually outlaws will be the only ones driving cars like these. I want to have one in my garage.

Buy. I've never leased a car and see no reason to start.

My current Challenger 392 is a 2016 that I bought new, and it has 192K miles. Leases don't work well in that sort of scenario.

You're doing it right, get your money's worth I say.
