I wonder if there's a spare tire in the Sport version since it doesn't have the Bose audio.....?
I had a 2008 911 Carrera S that had the Bose "upgrade". That was without a doubt the worst car audio I have ever heard. For such a wonderful car, they someow managed to give it a complete...
?
Yeah, it's tempting. I'm guessing that they really don't care about selling them, though. The lot lizard I talked to kept trying to convince me to buy a used one that they had, after the very first thing I said was "I have zero interest in a used car, I only buy new." I suspect that they are...
About $45-46K for the Performance version.
$45K gets you a 485 HP Challenger
$48K gets you a 460 hp Mustang GT w/ performance pack
$50K would be a deal-killer for a 400 hp car in this segment.
The new WRX styling is really unfortunate. It's right in the sweet spot of price vs. performance for a driver's daily vehicle.....but those wheel arches are just plain hideous.
Buy. I've never leased a car and see no reason to start.
My current Challenger 392 is a 2016 that I bought new, and it has 192K miles. Leases don't work well in that sort of scenario.
My short list:
Hellcat Challenger (Right now, though, they are not taking orders on manual transmissions, so no go).
Mustang Mach 1
Nissan Z
Cooper Works Mini
The common thread is the manual transmission.....
Yeah, I looked at one in a showroom a couple of months ago. When I saw the $10K ADM sticker I just laughed at the saleslady, gave her my card and told her to call when they were serious enough about selling it to start at MSRP. Three weeks later she called to say that they had gotten another...
I love the look of the Z and am considering it as a replacement for my current performance street car, but:
Does anyone know whether or not the above "features" can be permanently disabled? By permanently, I mean not having to turn the off every time you start the car, and not having yet...
Thanks - I hadn't seen that. It explains a lot about the options packages. It seems odd to me to not expect a 400 horse 2-seater to see some track days, but...OK.
That makes sense. Trouble with the modes is that on most of the Japanese cars I've seen you cannot select the setup for the...
That's helpful, thanks.
Not looking for someone else's opinion of the "features", just want to know if they can be disabled.
That said, I get the point about blind spots. For me, though, the distraction of having those d@mn mirror lights flashing constantly outweighs the potential benefit...
Now that we're within days of being able to order a Z....:
I have some questions regarding the "computer control" junk that is being added to seemingly every new car, save a few American brands:
1) Does the new Z have "lane assist"? If so, can it be permanently disabled (i.e., without it...
