I guess I'm not most people. I buy a sports car to be fast, brake better than a five seat sedan, and be rock steady above 100 mph. If I didn't want those things I'd buy an SUV instead.

I think its the same in Canada. All the MT allocations were gone in the first few hours online when they opened the website last winter. The AT's were around for weeks.

Again, it would make sense to test them all on the better tires. Still a level playing field, and it would give Z owners a chance to see if better rubber makes a difference, rather than hoping the competition buys worse rubber after the factory originals wear out.

Odd why not put decent Michelin's on all of them? It's down grading the Supra, not upgrading the Z. Most Z owners would buy better tires, most Supra owners wouldn't buy worse ones.

I've never owned anything except manuals since 1987 with my first car. My wife has an auto. I honestly never saw the big deal with a manual in heavy traffic, I've lived in both gridlocked Vancouver and Toronto with manual only. Driving an auto to me simply doesn't bring any real enjoyment.

I've driven a new Camaro, and found the blind spots distracting to the point that I wouldn't enjoy daily driving the car. The Mustang has a much nicer interior, and far better visibility all around. Hoping that the new Z will have an interior one wants to spend lots of time in.
