Jack stands will do, just tight to get into. Hoist would be much easier. You will get a soft code that will need to be tuned out.
Wasn't there something else other than just removing the solenoid? A plate or something?

lol “Instructions are not included.”

Not weird at all.
He makes everything himself,
I've had mine installed and my idle sits around 175kpa now, I'm using a GTR filter.

Credit where credit is due… it is a solid bit of billet. I got my mechanic to install it. He said it was straight forward.

I got a tune just after had the soft code tuned out.

What caveats would there be in running constant high oil pressure with the solenoid deleted?
No caveats. Someone said, as long you keep up with regular oil changes, you wont get sludge on the solenoid. Sludge would cause the solenoid to stay open

Do you plan to add more power with FBOs and Tune? If you unplug the solenoid harness, you will get a CEL. A Tune software, like ECUTEK can turn the solenoid error off. Keep reading for details about this

Is deleting the solenoid easy for a novice DIYer or should I take it to a specialty shop?
Pic shows the solenoid (Black). Harness (Grey). Connector (Brown). If you do the block off plate, drain the oil first 😉 I dont remember if the bolt can be easily reached from the pic. It will be a few beers and some swear words that you havent used in a while lol

You can get to the solenoid from under the car. The most PITA was to get the harness to unclip. Its facing up. Had to use a 90° pick tool in one hand, and a flat head screwdriver in the other. Pick tool to pull down the fastener clip, while the screwdriver is to separate the harness.

After getting the CEL. I talked to Mark at SonicTuned. He said the solenoid stays closed and the code that showed will not do any damage to the engine. Its only when its opened, it will stop oil circulation and starve the engine and turbo's of oil. Making it a catastrophic failure point.

@Who.Am.Eye.2716 Regular oil changes as in 3-5k or <3k miles? I also push the rpms sometimes but only for a couple of gears. Track is a different story. I do plan on tuning and using thicker oil (with cooling upgrades). As far as oil flow and lubrication, would removing the solenoid have the oil pressure at maximum at all times? Is that a good thing for the engine for a combination of driving habits (daily, spirited and occasional track days)?

I recently picked up that same block off plate thinking i'd need it eventually but didn't realize I would need to do some tuning afterwards. Would be great if I had a gauge to reference for oil pressure but the NISMO doesn't have that option?!

From this thread, it seems like 9AT models do not get an oil pressure gauge.

If our ECUs have available analog ports, theoretically one could install an oil pressure sensor which could then be ready by the ECU after calibration. Where to display the info is another thing but it can be done. Physical or digital gauge.

I wonder if anyone has tried leaving the solenoid connected, but install the block off plate alongside. That way the car's computer reads some resistance value from the solenoid itself preventing one from needing to tune the car to get the light to go away.

I just installed the blank, then left the solenoid connected, bagged/duct taped, and zip tied to a bracket nearby. Only done a short test drive, but so far OBDLink is showing no current or pending codes. Fingers crossed as I do like having idle pressure in the mid-20s rather than 17-18 before.

Whats the difficulty level of installing the block off plate from under the car? Did you use a lift or jack stands?

I had unplugged mine to see if the CEL would kick on. Sure nuff, a tune was required

On a manual car it is very easy to reach as there is no transmission oil cooler in front of it. It can be done with just jack stands. I like my toys so I have a shop and a mid-rise lift so it took me longer to get it on the lift and drop the plastic cover than to install the part.

Now over 80 miles into it after installing the blockoff. No CEL pending or stored. Keeping the stock solenoid plugged in seems to satisfy the ECM even if it is not affecting actual reported oil pressures.
