I hear you. I only drove mine about 200 miles since I bought it three weeks ago. Almost every time I drive it I get people tailgating me and stopping too close behind me at stop signs. It seems that some people dislike new cars on the road.
I get the same thing. I think some folks are trying to figure out what they’re looking at and some are trying read my Fairlady badge.

But some are trying to be a dick. i started stoping way back at traffic lights, then creep up to the light.

Most people I ‘ran’ into still don’t know what the car is, then more confused when seeing the Fairlady badge. I had to explain LOL.
One thing I won’t do though, is to take up two parking spots, people around here really get pissed!

True most do not know what a "Z" is but the love the look and remember the days of the 240Z
I love, love mine. I found this old mounted poster and superimposed my Z on it, came out OK.

When I called my insurance agent to switch from the performance to the NISMO, the lady said to me: "what's a Nissan Z"? I would have to look it up"... All I could respond was: Myeah... look it up 😆

It does have power that gets to you, but she can take some abuse. Just be careful until you put some better tires on it as it makes the car a lot more planted, and then still be careful! To be honest, I am young and got myself into an accident. Stock tires + interstate + concrete + wet conditions + a bad attitude = slipped into the concrete median barrier. Totally smashed the quarter panel, airbags went off, had to be replaced, 4 1/2 month repair time, 29k repair (insurance covered thankfully). I got her now though, and am happy to still have the Z! It is the price as well as having something so unique. While I have got myself to watch out for I am still worried about driving it because I could lose it any day to someone else's mistake like any car. With that said, just try to enjoy it to the best of your responsibly! It's a very capable car and well built, definitely without a doubt the best performing Z ever made.
I wanted to thank you again for your honest and detailed advice. Most importantly, glad you were safe after the accident and glad your Z is driveable.
I just passed the break-in period and I finally got comfortable driving my Z and realizing its power and capability. You are right, the power can get to me and I really need to be careful. Its power and speed are addicting and can be dangerous. I also realized that its not grounded as you said especially at high speed. I'll definitely need better tires soon.
Enjoy your Z and be safe.
