I have the AWE Touring sitting in my garage still in the box. Before I install it... Had anyone has any regrets with it? I love the tone/sound, but am a bit concerned the volume may be excessive being a dual-3.0" setup (perhaps dual-2.5" would be better?). How is the highway driving? Capable of having a conversation and/or phone call over the Bluetooth?

Thanks in advance!

Funny, my AWE Track Exhaust is still in the box too. Im waiting to get an appointment at my Tuner Shop . It's banshee louder than yours. Plus I have a catless Track version LDP. So im gonna be crazy loud.

Funny enough I finished my FDP and touring exhaust yesterday.

Initial thoughts the 3" is worth it
The overall quality 👌 👏
The resonaters sit really close to cross member suggest a rubber isolator there.

A low grumble that sounds excellent 1-3.5k rpm.

Bit of rasp at lower speeds around 3.5-4k
Highway crusing 70-75 drone non-existent.

Under "hard" acceleration there is still a rasp in the 3.5-4k rpm. Higher rpm sounds great with no rasp.

If you are on stock DPs i dont think anything can really make this car loud.

I have the AWE touring and it has a nice little rumble down low but everything else gets kinda pinched off by the 4 cats.

I'm still trying to find a place to install my LDPs because while i dont want to be obnoxious to neighbors... this is still a bit too tame. The tone is nice though. Just need a little more.

I have the AWE touring exhaust on my heritage. It’s the only one I found that doesn’t drone at all on the highway. It’s not really very loud at all -and I removed the lower down pipes as well and it’s still pretty tame. You definitely won’t offend the neighbors as it’s quieter than I would expect.
The one issue I do have with it, though is the alignment of the rear pipes. I contacted AWE because whenever you put the pipe clamps on the rear sections, the weight of the 180° section, think like a big muffler, makes the pipe rotate just enough so that the tip which is 5 inch rests on the diffuser opening for the exhaust. While it hasn’t melted it yet, I’m fearful it may, as I smell the sort of burning overly hot plastic smell after a drive. Every time I torque it to the correct torque specifications they gave me of 50 to 55 pounds, it still winds up rotating back to the same position.

Appreciate it! I do have intentions on going with some resonated LDPs after I get the AWE installed and am content with the sound/volume. Right now I'm just debating between 2.5"vs. 3.0" LDPs. I'm lucky enough to have RaceBox within 10 minutes of my office so I'll let them handle that install. I'll leave the 600-cell main cats alone for now.

I wish they would weld more of it together on a precise jig (similar to Fast Intentions) vs. leaving it like a puzzle for the installer to tweak. That's something that always bothered me about the Corsa exhaust system for the C8 Corvette as well vs. the Borla which came mostly welded together. All those slip-fit joints + clamps just add weight and a higher chance for leaks and poor alignment. From their perspective though, less labor cost and easier to package for shipment in a smaller box. Pros/cons...definitely can't complain about the price I paid!

How about highway cruising in the 75-85 range?

At 80 in 6th gear its about 3k rpm and no drone but louder than 70-75.
Noted! I guess nothing can be as bad as my re-geared S2k on the highway screaming at 4.5k RPM...

My car came with the AWE track version installed. I found that it had a very loud drone at 70 mph such that you could not hear the stereo. I installed the touring conversion package and find it much more suitable. At first it sounded a little raspy but after I had that annoying ASE turned off, I found the sound to be much more rounded - and the stereo sounded better as well.

Good comment! I plan to have that disabled as well while the car is in at the dealership anyway for the open recall. Did your dealer give you any issue about disabling it, or easy no problem?

After reading the advice of others on this forum, I was determined to have the ASE disabled. My ace card was the dealership offering a free tank of gas for a good company review. I had my salesman speak to management and we agreed to turn off the ASE in lieu of the gas as I've read that some dealers are charging hundreds to do it. So you might offer a good review as a goodwill gesture for 15 minutes of a tech's time.

BTW, I can report that at speeds in excess of 70-85 mph the AWE touring exhaust does not drone and the loudest noise is generated is by the tires - and possibly by the passenger.
