Auto muffler vs manual, wow!

Just got my hands on a '24 stock Nismo mid pipe and muffler to replace the suitcase muffler that came on my car. Wow what a difference. The car actually sounds like it should now with the manual midpipe (no resonators) and auto muffler.
I didn't expect all the happy little burbles transitioning to decel, and the accel note has a lot more racey pitch. There is some slight interior drone (I have all the sound enhancement/cancelation turned off) bit it isn't bad at all. It's more that you can just actually hear the engine now. Good stuff. Hopefully wife likes it and I don't have to put the resonated midpipe on.

I love the exhaust on my 26 Sport model, it sounds perfect, I suspect it is quieter than your car as mine has the factory resonators. That was a cool mod. that you did, these exhausts are really nice and well made , good sounding !

Yes exactly. The least muffled factory parts combo. It sounds so good. There must be someone on the engine team that meant for it to be a thing.

Where are you located, I would be interested in the manual muffler.

I just did the same. Swapped out my manual trans muffler for the factory automatic trans muffler. Kept the midpipes with no resonators. The car is a little louder than I prefer, but not obnoxious. The best way I can describe this is the car now sounds like the original 240Z - maybe just a little louder. Yes, I was around to see these when they were new.

This makes me very stoked about my in progress Magnaflow Speq install on the ‘27 Nismo MT!

I’m in Texas and will have the stock system available for someone who wants that unit.
