25 Nismo.

I had my dealer shut off ANC and ASE. Downshifting in sport+, I still hear the burbles. Windows down I don't hear them but not sure if it's drowned out with the wind noise.

Anyone have any insight?

If you have an auto, that exhaust can burble a bit, nature of the way it's designed.

Hey OP I am in the same situation. I had the dealership turn off ANC and ASE but in Sport+, it persists.

I believe there are separate settings for Sport+ ANC and SAE, which I noticed when the 27' Nismo was announced with special ANC and ASE settings in Sport+.

I'm planning on going to the dealership this week to see if we can figure it out. The fake burbles make me crazy with an aftermarket sub. They are 10x as loud with a better sub. Definitely need to turn off those settings with an aftermarket stereo.

As far as I know, a stock VR30 doesn’t burble unless you have some type of fuel/cam timing problem allowing fresh fuel through to the exhaust. Or maybe if you run glasspacks.

Maybe I'll strap my GoPro near the exhaust and that should give a definitive answer

I would love it if it really did. The fake noises are an embarrassment. If it really does at least the embarrassment (mine, anyway) drops from a 10 to maybe a 7 or 8. I could convince myself that sometimes they’re real.

…like this guy pretends his hair is real.

Let's be real here.
Is anyone in your car going to be like "Yo those burbles are so fake!"

No.

Is your date about to take her shirt off and then stop and say "I would continue but I don't date guys with fake burbles."

No.

Question: I've read before that when the Nismo is put in Sport+ something changes in the tuning or the configuration. What am I missing?

I believe the changes are better throttle response, more aggressive shifting, and slightly heavier steering

Per the YouTube loudmouth with the really fast 350Z, they're not good for exhaust systems and other components. Although I have no personal knowledge of this, it makes sense. Pretty much every area of a vehicle outside the combustion chamber itself aren't made to handle random fuel explosions.
