Owned the ‘24 Z performance for couple weeks and absolutely love it. Looking into upgrading exhaust and can’t seem to find one that sounds what I like. Looked at many different options (awe, stillen, Borla, nismo, armytrix, MAperformance, tomei, etc). Either they sound not as good for the price or overpriced, I assume installing LDP will improve how it sounds but I want to wait till after warranty and stick to cat backs for now. Looking for deep tone with nice grumble that’s not obnoxious. Any takes?

Seems like AWE Touring may be what you're looking for. Stillen was #2 for me. Check out MBRP as well. Don't forget about Magnaflow either.

I have the Fast Intentions catback and love it. I just ordered the LDP from them also (not installed yet). It isnt obnoxious, has a good deep growl and sounds great during spirited driving. I was told the LDP would not void any warranties (US) from my Nissan Master tech at my dealership.

LDP would not void warranty? Interesting, I would ask the dealership near me to confirm. If so then I’ll be ordering LDP asap

Thats why I ordered mine lol. Im sure every dealer is different but most of them look for warranty work, its free money to them. They wont try to find a way to get it denied.

I recently purchased the Nismo Street exhaust. It's fantastic, and since it's a Nismo (Nissan) part it's about as "OEM" as you can get. Yes, it's true that dealers can't void warranty for an aftermarket exhaust, but in this case it's simply another Nissan part and takes any question off the table.

Concept Z Performance has a really nice Youtube video that gives you an idea of how it sounds. There's no drone at speed, and it sounds awesome both inside and out when you get on it.

I’m with you on the Nismo. I bought the street version and I couldn’t be happier. It sounds great and after a couple trips of 400 miles or more it hasn’t droned for a moment, the Nismo street is tuned for the car. After 2 months I’ve noticed it is louder than when I installed it. I’m +6 👍 on the Nismo Catback.

I just wish the Nismo was at least 2.5" rather than 2.25".

LWD will give you the deep tone you’re looking for, and it doesn’t void the warranty since it doesn’t cause a check engine light or require an engine tune. I’m running a Tomei with Boosted 6 LWD, and it sounds deep and amazing with a really nice tone.

Agreed - the Nismo is perfect for those people who want a better sound but zero issues/hassle with warranty/dealer, etc.

If I was going the power route, and doing all the bolt-ons, tune, etc. I'd want a true 3" exhaust. I kind-of got that out of my system with my Evo IX, and now am just looking for something fun with great sounds.

Glad to encounter another former Evo owner 😁

I really miss mine. It was the best car I've ever owned. After 12 years, it was just time to let it go -- parts are no longer available, etc. I bought 3 other cars before settling on the Z as the "closest alternative". Not having AWD is a bit of a learning curve on acceleration runs ;)

Agreed, nothing quite like them! I had a IX and a X (after 5 DSMs then a S2k). Since, I've had a C7 and C8. I liken the Z to a hybrid between the S2k and C7!
