i wanted exterior to be of one color, not the red and black or yellow and black. However, I saw interiors that had blue or red and liked them but I am fine with this one.
I like the solid graphite. The color accents are too much and little too ricey for me. i would rather like to see a led lighting package with options for different color accents.

It’s under warranty for a large portion of the next 10 years, besides fluid changes, I would not expect anything out of the ordinary.

Oil changes 2x per year and air filters once.
Tires will be a good chunk, and cost would be based on what you want, as a cheap set for the 18’s on the Sport vs an expensive set on the Perf, you could be talking twice the price…not to mention how long they last. I’d factor in 3 to 4 tire changes.
Brakes, figure 3 pad changes and 1 rotor change, and at least one brake fluid change.
There are other Nissan recommended checks & changes in that interval that I have no clue about cost. Those shouldn’t be different than any other ICE vehicle though.

Kinda shooting from the hip here. You could save some cash doing your own oil, air filters and brake work.

Yeah. It's a big knob to control smaller gear, I'm sure. Lotsa control.

This kind of reminds me, at the risk of hijacking this thread, I generally adjust my seat pretty high, but I've noticed that the higher the seat is, the worse the view out the back, and the electronics forward of the interior rear-view mirror block part of the forward view.

Do folks generally adjust the seat higher or lower?
Being 6’4ā€, I have the seat as low as possible! Gives me about an inch of room above my head lol

I did lower the seat. It didn't make much difference in terms of visibility. I'll try it this way for awhile.

For some reason I’m good on visibility. I have the seat all the way down, all the way back and reclined pretty good, not all the way though. Headrest all the way down of course, otherwise it hits the headliner.

That is a loaded question that only you can answer. It depends heavily on driving habits and use (street /track). Iā€˜ll assume this is street only due to the concern.

No concerns for reliability - she’s built in japan.

As far as maintenance - nothing different than any other performance car - which will depend on your driving habits - street vs track?

tires will be more than likely be your largest maintenance expense. Second will be brake pads, then fluids.

She uses dot 4 brake fluid which takes on water faster than dot 3. Book is 10k or 2yrs which ever comes first to maintain max performance. But for ā€œnormalā€ street driving and dryer that average climates, you probably can get by with 20-30k.

An M/T will would require a clutch at some point depending on Driving habits. That can be one night to 100k+.

Adds to the retro feel of the Z too eh? Like the hand e-brake.... and knobs and switches for all the air / vent control. I love all this stuff about the Z. I hate everything being electronic / touch screen like most new cars these days.
in my opinion Z already has more than enough Tech, and electronics. I prefer simple basic buttons over endless pages to scroll through. Less weight, less electronics to fail. All what I need is there. Engine + real manual transmission with rear wheel drive. Seats are comfortable enough and visibility is good. What else can a man want ……

Naveed, get it while these are still available. It’s A Nissan, keep changing fluids regularly and break pads as needed. Have fun.. Nothing to worry about for years.

@naveed the new Z, or RZ34, is basically a 370Z, Z34 chassis underneath, which is a good thing since it's been improved over the years from back in 2008. An example is the clutch slave cylinder has been relocated to outside the trans, easier maintenance. I'm sure other details were added to tighten the chassis, sound deadening etc. So I'm not worried on long term maintenance, just do the timely servicing, esp oil changes every 5k miles, it's a turbo motor, lots of heat produced.

So go get one soon, it's a great value and drive for the price really. I'm loving mine, for the heritage and refinement.

When I check cars.com, it seems like a Perf is availablewith several Dealers (outside of California) for 44k-47k range.
Will these cars qualify for California's Emission Standards?
And any input on how I can get these cars shipped over?

Z sold anywhere in the US Is California emissions compliant. I don’t believe any cars sold in the US now are not California standards.

@yellowz6mt is right. The non-California emissions issue was resolved a couple decades ago. I currently own two vehicles in CA that were purchased in neighboring states and had no issues with CA smog or registration.
