Good to know the functional upgrades, per Hagerty

"Nissan says the suspension revisions will produce a more supple ride." – I thought one of the main complaints about the current non-NISMO Zs was that the suspension of those variants was already too soft, no?

I wonder if moving things around with the new front bumper (sonar, brake ducts, etc...) is going to make it a pain for people that want to swap the new bumper onto their '23-'26.

I'm happy the refresh is just the bumper/wheels/tan interior option.

Just slap the plug n' play 27+ bumper on a 23-26 and voila!, refreshed!

Bonus Points if it's factory paint matched lol
It’s not just that. They also updated suspension, they said car won’t be as floaty. It will be much more stable. They are updating system with new software for the safety.

I have never noticed any "floatiness" in my 2024 performance 6mt. I also don't think small adjustments to the shocks will increase stability in any measurable amount.

I feel like its unstable when cornering at speed (like 60+ on a long sweeping downhill offramp). It feels sketchy. Hoping sways and lowering springs will fix it.

oh its floaty there is a lot of movement on high speed turn in on the Z for sure. NISMO fixes this mostly.

Everyone has their own opinion, for a fun street car, I’ve never noticed any “float”, is this a fully buttoned down track car, heavens no, but I doubt the average driver will notice some slight tweak to the shocks on the newer models.

not really an opinion from an objective tested POV street driving around town weekend car you wont notice. but hard cornering the performance model moves so much weight to that side before it turns in. its definitely manageable but it rolls into corners when pushed to the point where you feel the movement then it turns. this is one of the reasons Tamura coined the dance partner phrase when talking about the Z. it puts a positive spin on it that its engaging ( which it is)

As I said it’s someone’s opinion if the way the car drives is “floaty”. I’ve owned too many cars to count, and I really enjoy the way the performance Z handles, there room for improvement, which is what the aftermarket is for, but my days of ripping around a track are over, and I highly doubt the average person who enjoys a weekend spirited drive will notice many changes with a larger diameter shocks.

They also mentioned it will also lose some weight. I feel, with this facelift, they are focusing on fixing things that most people were complaint about - front bumper, suspension, weight.
I wouldn't be surprised if they will also put better camera

I think the weight loss is for the NISMO because the brakes . 22 lbs on the auto and 66lbs on the manual

I think the best (functional) upgrade aside from looks is the improved airflow and cooling w the new split bumper as mentioned above, good thinking for Nissan, that’s cool and important.

Yep I can tell you a huge difference, night and day, on street driving just with adj sways and slightly stiffer lowering progressive springs, the Z is buttoned down now, no more swaying, should be this way from the factory.
