I own a 27 with the MT. Very fun car to drive. Analog vibes. Notchy short throw shifter. With looks to match. The RZ34 is one of only a handful of current cars that looks amazing at every angle: the 911 and the Emira being the others. You cannot find an unflattering vantage point for the beautiful machine. The Z looks great today, and will look even better 20 years from now. You cannot say the same thing for the disjointed Supra. It does not look good now and will be considered a case study in bad aesthetics 20 years from now. So yes, congratulations on owning an ugly car with worse shifting engagement but marginally better performance statistics. I love the fact that I can see 100 Porsches, 20 Ferraris, and 10 Lambos in my area before I see one Z. And it makes heads turn every time with its graceful beauty.

....but you're correct, when I see a Supra now it's all about boy-racer styling, trying too hard to be aggressive, total opposite to the timeless RZ34 styling.

The Z looks great. I just wanted it to perform in line with modern cars in its class. Not like a 2009 370.

I suspect they're running some shit 91. Can atest that 91 significantly slowers the VR30DDTT. It's hard to trust journalists, when they don't provide their methodology for getting the cars ready to test.

Exactly. I drove a 26 Performance MT and knew immediately that’s what I wanted. Just go drive one of those and see if you enjoy the experience.

And yes the Nismo turns everything up to 11.

In my opinion the only numbers that matter are:
Your Purchase budget., Minutes spent behind the wheel of the car you love, and the number of memories made with positive car enthusiasts. Most reasonable sport car owners I speak with have no problems with any other sports cars outside of the one they chose. To those who may have a Z and are experiencing buyers remorse I say sell it and buy the car you truly love. To those who don’t own a Z, I say test drive it and if you don’t like it then buy the one you love it’s that simple. And for those who love any other platform like Porsche 911, Honda Civic Type R, BMW M2, Supra, Corvette C8 or any other wonderful sports car, find the forum for those specific vehicles and discuss with that community how wonderful that platform is. There are plenty of Z owners like myself that didn’t purchase a Z because some guy on a track praised it or an article in Boating Trend gave it great reviews. Love cars, Love people, Love life

Osage you had good comments on Z's overall appearance and analog feel. In an age where vehicles are monitoring where you're looking and how many hands you have on the wheel, I absolutely love the modern tech mixed with analog controls found in the Z. And the looks.. mine was in a shop same time yesterday as two new Vettes, an R8, and a Porsche; she showed well and was admired

Thats all most stations have. I presume it at least wont damage the car long term?

Depends on the state or region in terms of 91 vs. 93. 91 will not cause damage but 93 will allow for less timing retard. For those without 93 but do have E85 available, you can splash blend in 2 gallons per tank to effectively make a 93-octane fuel.

What E% is the car rated to? I dont want to muck up any polymer parts nor do I want to exceed fuel trims as of coirse E requires a much more aggressive duty cycle from injectors etc.

We have maybe 1 93 TT station, and 5 or 6 non TT 93 options. Ive never owned a car that needed 93 for max stock performance.
