Man the social media response to this is pretty bad lol. Just when I thought people couldn't hate the new Z enough, the Nismo comes out and now everyone on most platforms seems upset again. It's too bad because it's a good looking car.

Its kinda wild how negative the public is to the Z. I try to share my car on other platforms and the only positive comments come from Z enthusiasts. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this. It's a bummer.

So many "get a Supra" comments among many other things. Like people don't want me to enjoy this car. It won't stop me though lol.
A lot of people hate Nissan for whatever reason. I've owned Nissans since 1992 and can count on one hand the times they broke down on me. I have a 2015 Xterra Pro-4X with 98,000 miles and it has been driven through blizzards, below zero cold snaps, and Las Vegas summers. The only two issues it has had all this time was a crack in the A/C condenser, and a rear axle seal leak. That's all. I beat on my 370Z hard and it is bulletproof.

I can vouch for the toughness of the Xterra. Had one driving it about 100K miles, sold it at 166K miles and still running strong. Been off-road on many trails, very capable, and no issues. The only problem was the old driveshaft gave up when towing my 240Z on the flatbed up the Grapevine, only because it had over 140K miles then. Plus, you don't see nicely lifted Xterras out there, unlike the millions of 4Runners and Wranglers. Still a Nissan fan, a dying breed LOL.

I hate to repeat myself but you guys need to stop posting facts here.
Right! Same story with the orange. Nissan showed it first on the Z late last year, yet some argue they copied Toyota after Toyota showed the orange Supra several weeks ago. Its a stupid thing to argue about to begin with, but if that is your argument, stick to the facts.

Color is the least of worries, nowadays just wrap it, done! It's the other silly things Nissan is doing with the new Z and Nismo, total disappointment. But if they start optioning the base Sport with LSD, Nismo suspension, I'd jump on it:D. That would be the quickest, lightest Z, manual or auto.

I fear that Nissan may be making a calculated decision in deliberately *not* optioning the base Z with LSD, at the very least. Surely Nissan reps have read the feedback. They've heard the noise.

I guarantee it is known within the company that they'd move as many units of the base Z as they could build if even that one item were to be included as standard (plus maybe a few other available options, like larger alloys or revised suspension, for instance). Which is precisely why they probably won't do it, aside from potential assembly-line complexities.

They'd cannibalize the sales of the more profitable models, and that's the bottom-line calculation. It's long been my fear that we'll never see the mid-tier "Track Pack" we mostly all want for this reason.

I ran across a pic of Nismo front vs the regular Z

Still like the standard Z's front end, it's unique, nothing else out there, instantly recognizable. The Nismo's is more derivative, generic IMO. Who else thinks the same?

I'm on my third Xterra Pro-4X, which has seen boatloads of snow, sub-zero temps, and mud season, and is far more capable than my Grand Cherokee or the 4Runners I've driven. I've also owned a Pathfinder and my 350Z, the latter through many road trips and track days.

I've been eyeing the Nismo, and while I don't like all of Nissan's decisions (LSD, anyone?), I've decided to forget a Nismo and upgrade my Performance Z instead, much like I did to my track model 350Z. We know we're going to mod whatever we buy, it's just a matter of the starting point.

I like the Nismo, but placement wise, the front plate holder looks better on the yellow Z.
That is a strange place for the front license plate. It seems to extend above the nose, which looks pretty strange.

I still like the Nismo front but Its so funny how much ive changed my opinion on the regular front bumper since owning my Z. I just tell people that pictures do not do it justice. I see angles in pictures and I think ehhh idk looks weird, but in person I can walk around it and I think it looks mean from every angle.

Agree 1000% I know they took inspiration from the G nose S30 but the stock bumper still looks better. Even the customized Proto looks better than this bumper. And idk what Nissan was smoking when they made it auto only and 100 lbs heavier on top of the already heavy auto version.
