In the middle of last year, I got 0.9% 60 mo. from Nissan on a 2022 Pathfinder MSRP +$500 cashback. I think I got a little bit lucky considering the supply chain issues. Regardless, I won't pay a markup on any new vehicle. I'm not that desperate. Having to pay MSRP is painful enough.
Another thing that concerns me is the climbing gas prices. Premium fuel is pushing near $4 a gal around me. I wouldn't want a brand new sports car that costs a fortune to drive.
It will be interesting to see how this Ukraine/Russia conflict pans out. I read a news article that said that even if the US started ramping up oil production, it would take 18 mo. - 24 mo. before it has an effect on prices at the pump. And what if the current administration isn't in a big hurry to increase oil production because they see it as an opportunity to prevent sales of more ICE vehicles. There is some significant uncertainty in the world right now that makes me a bit cautious.
I chuckled at you complaining about 4 dollars a gallon and fortune to drive ?. 4 dollars usd a gallon would b 127 a litre in canada. Guess what were at 2 dollars a litre! 127 is a god damn steal.

Dang! and ironically Canada supplies the US with 50% of the fuel we consume. You guys need to have a serious talk with your prime minister.. lol

Australia mines plenty of oil…but we send it to their countries for it to be refined and then buy it back at a much inflated price…you have to wonder if people go into politics because they couldn’t get into anything else at university

That is true, but I'm thinking the new Z will get better mileage than my Scat Pack. I'm averaging bet. 19-20mpg right now driving it "normal" most of the time. My 16GT used to get 23-24 using regular and I'm betting the Z will get a little better than that. I've been putting mid-grade or premium in it too, although I'm sure they recommend premium in the Z also.

Going off the Q60 RS, I’m guessing the Z will be similar maybe slightly better since it should be a bit lighter. 28 mpg highway 25 mpg avg.

Hopefully the ship that brings the initial allotment of Z's to the US doesn't sink like the Felicity Ace just did- over $400 million (4,000 vehicles) of Porsches, Lambos, VW's and Bentleys just sank in the Atlantic. Imagine those people who ordered a car and now won't get it for quite awhile. The ship was even carrying the last Aventadors that were to be made.
Oh my gosh. I'm freaking speechless.

Politics is a great gig for those who like to "fail upwards"
