Stillen has been around for 40 years. I trust them. Not bashing tuners, but that company has been around since some of you were in kindergarten.

I have no stake in tuning Z's. I bought the tru control, used it for a while, and took it off because it made driving the car less enjoyable. Nothing you say changes those facts.

Can you read? A few posts back I said I felt good under wide open throttle. My issue is the strange part throttle behavior. Most street driving is not done at wide open throttle.

It seems like you're personally offended that I don't share your opinion on this device. The snarky jabs make you appear insecure.

I have a 600hp big block chopped sedan hotrod that weighs 2600 pounds. I race a KZ shifterkart at the national level. I am a fan of speed, power, and performance. I am not a fan of erratic behavior on modern turbocharged engines that I paid a premium price for.

Some general advice: Before you reply, it's good to understand what the person you're replying to is saying so you don't look stupid.

This is likely true with many professional services. My recent audio upgrade had me searching for straight-forward answers on changing out speakers without bypassing the stock Bose amp. I get there's a lot to it, but the very generic "may sound worse" had me wondering if I'm getting straight answers.

I wonder has anyone had issues with the TruControl during Fall like temperatures? I felt the issues during Summer temps/high humidity when I didn't have the upgraded H/X.

On another note I'm so damn happy "Boost Weather" is upon us.

Tuners will always say an ECU tune is way better than a piggy back tuner. Anyone with any experience tuning or even modding cars will agree with that.

I wouldn't even recommend a piggyback tuner even if it is the only option available. I would definitely push toward an ECU tune if that person wants to mod the vehicle even more.

Piggybacks are not a bash on tuners, they are a band aid tuning solution plain and simple.

Just because the company has been around for years means absolutely nothing.

I have tuned vehicles and know what these piggybacks do. They can work "ok" for some. Most are not for additional mods over stock and even Stillen has an asterisk with "results may vary", to cover their ass.

You are correct that you will see more bad than good.

But again, what works for 1 may not for others.
