These graphics are not completely accurate. Under the current draft framework, tire lines with total sales of less than 15,000 units per year in California are exempt from these efficiency mandates. Most time-attack, autocross, and dedicated racing slicks fall under this threshold.
Also, like many other parts, you can source from out of state. I already buy tires from tirerack. I already buy other car parts out of state, like my afe turbo on the 124 that was built in LA but can not sell here. Or boost juice for water meth injection.
I think this is a dumb law, I despise CARB, and hope it does not pass, but it is also not the end of the world for race tires.
