I just changed the differential fluid at 6,000 miles. It was WAY dirtier than I expected. There were also way more particles on the magnetic drain plug than I expected. I wish I did it sooner, but I didn't think it would be so bad. I recommend that everyone does this on their car. I'm sure that the first time will be the worst due to break in.

Didn't do anything with my Z today other than drive it.
BUT
Finally got a landscaping project here at work kicked off that's taken much longer than expected to pull together. Landscaper planted palms and I wanted everyone to see.
That's all.
Cheers!

Mine looked about the same! The break-in change is the most important. I've actually done mine 2x already.

Here are daytime shots of the Nismo Rays V2 10.5" +23 squared. This current setup (255/285) clears everything, no rubbing at dips, speed bumps, or sharp turns. The way it sits on Swifts I think 275 front will still clear but 285s for sure will NOT, needs camber arms. For rear to be more flush (I really don't like spacers), 5mm would work, making it +18.

Very nice! It's that time of the year. I'm actually doing the opposite. I just scheduled someone to take down some dead pines in my front yard.

Sorry, no pictures of my Z alongside the deceased pines, though. It's safe inside the garage, far away from any potentially falling trees.

I just went through the pain in the ass removal of OEM CAIs . Installed AMS 80mms Intakes. Love the swoosh sound and the rush of acceleration. You definitely notice the difference in gains of HP. Two weeks from now I'll have a the engine dropped for upgraded Garrett turbos and heat changer, competition clutch kit aluminum fly wheel , AMS FDP, AMS Stage 1 fuel injectors , AMS Canbus Flex fuel Kit and their High pressure fuel pump and Low pressure pumps with sensor. Today gonna drive from Philly to the Smokey Mountains of Tenn/N.Carolina with my buddies driving their Acura Integrat Type S and Honda Type R to meet 200 other drivers to tame the Tail of the Dragon rt 129 for the weekend.

How many miles did you change yours at, each time you did it? And, how did the second time compare to the first?

In all my years of motoring and changing Diff oils, i have never seen a Diff oil in that condition after so few miles !!
Its either complete utter "Crap" oil or a diff not up to the task..

I'd wager its the crap oil. I didn't know conventional oil is what Nissan uses in the diff.

1,700 & 2,600 miles

2nd time looked much better, but still glad I did it again to fully remove all break-in material. Based on how mine looked, at least once is very important.

I likely don't do it a 3rd time until at least 20k miles.

Crap conventional gear oil... A quality full-synthetic is an easy upgrade. I personally used Redline 75W-90 GL-5, but there are a lot of good options.

Our Wrangler looked very similar, and the Grand Cherokee wasn't a whole lot better. All of them got two break-in changes.
