Sway Bars: What did you choose & why?

Just to keep record, I now have the front bar at the middle stiffness setting and the rear bar at the softest, which is what Stillen suggests as a starting point for stock tires/suspension.

UPDATE

I now have both F&R bars at their stiffest settings and am finding this to be the best balance yet on stock tires & suspension. It seems that much like Nissan, even Stillen went a bit on the conservative side. For those with other brands of swaybars, note that Stillen's are the least aggressive of the aftermarket options.

Rear: +70%

I agree with the above, I tracked several cars in the past, and all the people I learned from, often told me. Once you can outdrive your car on the track consistently, then figure out what needs to be changed/upgraded. Personally, I think the springs are important since it helps the look of this car, it's got way too much wheel gap. Beyond that, unless you are addressing a specific issue, I say just leave the car as close to stock as you can.

You don’t need to track your Z to improve handling dynamics. Just an open freeway or a mountain pass road can already show what the Z’s handling is truly capable of. Sway bars are definitely bang for the buck on these platform and although these bars can’t be seen (aesthetics vs handling) you’ll surely love your Z more

Do you have upgraded sway bars in your car? I have installed them in 6 of mine. And it truly does help in this platform if you truly care and enjoy driving your Z.

if you mean you subjectively feel the car is different after you installed some parts, i guess, sure

maybe you can explain what a sway bar decision has to do with "truly caring and enjoying driving your z"

its not a religion

if you haven't actually reached the limit of your car, then the sway bars aren't doing anything

and you aren't going to reach the limit of a Z bumming around on the street

if you wanna time attack down a mountain and feel you really need sway bars to win your deathgumtape match against your heated rival, then sure, i guess you should . . . throw on sway bars?

i'm on 200 tw tires, coils, race alignment, full SPL arms, and a bucket. I don't need to change my sway bars because i haven't reached the limit of my current setup, and there is nothing to suggest changing the front/rear balance through sway bars is necessary

Changing the Sway bars to Stillen changed something as simple as entering a highway.. Much less lean. I'm 80 and have been driving Sports cars for 62 years. Last 5 cars in order are 2024 Z Performance, 2009 370Z (Twin Turbo), 1991/93 300 ZX Twin Turbo (tuned), 83 280 ZXTurbo.

Man those questions remind me of dealing with IT vendors . I crave handling more than power. I came from a decade of Miatas and S2000. No tracking for me at this time or future. I like spirit driving and do long road trips.

I am on springs so don't have adjustments.
