Anyone had any issues with shifting? (6MT)

When I complained to NISSAN USA about the transmission, they said to go to the dealer and wouldn't have anything to do with me. Car is at the dealer and will stay there until fixed.
They are replacing the transmission!!!!! Never ever have had this happen with a Nissan Z since 1983.

Transmission replaced and.................car still does not want to go into reverse!!! Nissan USA just says to notify the dealer. If anyone knows of anyone anywhere who makes a manual transmission for the Z that works please advise soonest. I won't get a 2026 Z Performance Heritage in Midnight Purple because it will just be my car with a crappy transmission. It does, however, accelerate very nicely through the gears. TROUBLE backing onto a parking spot or pulling out of my garage.

Yesterday after driving for 35 minutes and leaving the car in he sun for over an hour I had TROUBLE getting the car into reverse. Just now, I went into the garage and got in the car, started it up and shifted into Reverse. No problem. !!!!! I believe I need a different transmission fluid. Hello NISSAN USA!!!!!

Key word with Nissan USA is that go in prepared, record or have someone record the issue for them to approve anything. It saves you a lot of headache and back and forth between the service department and mechanics.

Key word with Nissan USA is that go in prepared, record or have someone record the issue for them to approve anything. It saves you a lot of headache and back and forth between the service department and mechanics.
I have good relationship with my dealer. I tell them, they fight Nissan USA.

You need to keep fighting this, looks like an isolated case but Nissan needs to resolve, replace or repair. Maybe the linkage or slave cyl is the issue somewhere? Not sure but they need to diagnose again for a permanent fix. Use only OEM fluid. Your car has not been in any accident, maybe something is misaligned?

No accident. Been like this since day 1.

I suspect it will be the same trans. I thiink it's rate well above what either tune makes.

I purchased the 26 heritage 6 speed and i feel the notchy shift from neutral to first and first to 2nd gear 😩 i also noticed that if i dont force the gear shift, it will shift into position on its own with slight pressure , almost like the transmission is saying, i’ll shift into gear when im ready. This makes for long shifts and it gets irritating fast.

No shifting problems, but i can say it is 100 times better in S mode.
Same. I also upgraded to Redline MT-85 transmission fluid for a little extra smoothness.

How about shifting into reverse when the transmission is WARM? After going through a bunch of stuff, and some parts from Z1, I can finally get it into Reverse when hot. Gear still a bit notch but livable.
