Yes, i found out a week later that s mode is not sport mode and i have been using s mode for the syncrorev match makes little to no rev hang and glides through the gears. With this 6 speed i feel like that should just be the standard operation for this Z
There are pluses of the synchro-rev match, but know what, for me that 'blipping' is too sensitive, it activates even when you touch the top of a gate, annoying. Mine is off permanently, I do it manually when downshifting to rev-match. It's more natural and predictable, no ghost blips. Maybe I'm just used to it over the years.

I picked my 25 performance Z up with 6 miles, never have done a break-in on any vehicle I own and no problems shifting. Really is a smooth shifting trans.
Talk to us later 500- 1,000 miles.

Hi, from what Ive heard and read, New Z has different clutch, bellhousing, external csc, improved 1st and 2nd gear synchros over the 370z. Other than these items everything else is a carry over from the 370z?

The 370z had known weak 5th gear synchros.

Does this mean the new Z will suffer the same issues if they indeed carried over the 3rd to 6th synchros? Bit dissapointing if true.

Yes, it’s perfect.
Im starting to think my mt issues are of my doing as this week i have shifted the smoothest i have been able to since ownership 2 weeks ago. The only thing now is i still question a click or notch into 2nd gear before it goes into 2nd gear.

Transmission does not like cold weather. Actually, mine does like any weather. Using GTR clutch fluid, works a but better. Can now get into reverse on first try.

Found this thread after wondering the very same. I just bought a heritage Z after building a 2023 WRX and the WRX shifter - with mods - feels much smoother as a cable transmission compared to the 1st and 2nd gear of the Z. I honestly thought something was wrong with the first two gears or if it was just the feeling of some sort of reinforcement.

If there was a transmission like I had on my 370Z that would fit a 2024 Z, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I have repllaced the Clutch (Now a NISMO Clutch) and the Transmission (got messed up when installing NISMO Clutch). Replaced some springs in the gearshift but still sucks.

Which MT fluid are you using? If you have changed it, how many miles till you did?

8,998. GTR clutch fluid.
Thinking about doing this soon to clean out the factory fluid. I'm just past 1.3k. like to have a quality fluid more consistent to handle a little bit of spirited driving.

What about your LSD oil? What are you using? I ordered Motul 300ls 75w90
