They are good, just make sure you don't over-oil them, had experience years ago where it messed up the MAF on another car.installed K&N high flow air filters…

If I go the intake route it will be dry filter. Oiled, and especially K&N have clearly worked well for lots of people, but over-oiling and MAF sensor issues are a concern. Especially in forced induction engines pulling a crap ton of air through them. They are good, just make sure you don't over-oil them, had experience years ago where it messed up the MAF on another car.
Beautiful color! How are the drop in filters? Perhaps are there more turbo noises or overall intake sound quality upgrade?installed K&N high flow air filters…

I didn’t notice any diiference.Beautiful color! How are the drop in filters? Perhaps are there more turbo noises or overall intake sound quality upgrade?
Thanks! I’m sure Airflow definitely improved as filter is less restrictive. intake sound is slightly more noticeable as it’s stock airbox-closed. I intentionally used these in stock airbox as stock design is already true cold air induction (denser air from outside not hot air from engine bay ) RnD by Nissan. Plus I’m old school - care more about functionality. Sound effects are a bonus!!Beautiful color! How are the drop in filters? That reminds me, I need to buy some more of that stuff.Just ticked over 200 miles. Washed it, applied two coats of wax and topped it off with a couple coats of C2V3 (ceramic spray). It's gleaming!!
I had a "high end" detailer turn me on to it a few year back. He said it is the best wipe/buff to protect against sun and anything sticking to the paint. I used it on my 2016 Miata for track days and any rubber that would stick to the front of the car would just brush off. It is so good. That reminds me, I need to buy some more of that stuff.
Looks GREAT!Raining today But I backed the Z into the garage and install the rear splash guards. Not as big of a difference like on a lighter color Z but I still love this look and glad I did it.

It's neve-wracking drilling 4 new holes into a basically brand new car, but the instructions were super easy to follow and this job was not too hard. I did have a couple strips of the adhesive coverings break off when you are supposed to press these against the car and pull them off but nothing some skills with needle-nose pliers couldn't fix.
I kind of wish you hadn't shared these because now I have Z envy. I haven't seen that color before. It's amazing!Raining today But I backed the Z into the garage and install the rear splash guards. Not as big of a difference like on a lighter color Z but I still love this look and glad I did it.

Two questions, where do I get those ramps and where does one buy the splash guards? Are they an OEM dealer item?
quick update: just for sanity check I inspected the airboxes for any oil remittance and found it to be clean, including the MAF housing. Looks like K&N applied correct amount of oil from the factory. I have used these filters in NA or carb applications but first time in Turbo setup. Appears to be working as expected.installed K&N high flow air filters…
